Interesting to hear some comments from our Assistant Coach David King.
Speaking on the Hawks game, he commented on and really believes that successful teams need to have some mongrel in them.
He pointed out that while several of the Hawks players crossed that line, it was probably worth it. However they did have a few guys sitting in the stands. :hihi
Have to admit I like Kingy, I just wish he could play for us.
Thinking about his comments it is interesting to note that we basically have bugger all of this mongrel in our senior list.
It looks like our young brigade leads the way. Some who are..
KING. Small, tough, stands up for himself and others
CONNERS. Looks to have some mongrel on tap, aggressive streaks, LOVE IT
RIEWOLDT. Showed glimpses of flying the flag, vocal lad, promising future
JACKSON. Definitely hard at it, and looks to be one of the more intimidating types we have.
POLAK. While he is not as young, like this guy, does have flashes of mongrel, this is the most important as our bigger guys must show some of this.
We need to start showing some of these other clubs that we will not be pushed around.
