Dead WEG Thread

RIP WEG.

Had the pleasure to meet him a couple of years back at a function.

Was drawing cartoons of the guests, when a young lady approached him and ask for a drawing of herself.

She asked, 'can you make me look like a princess?'

WEG looked up, and replied without a change of expression, 'sorry love, i'm an artist, not a bloody magician!'
 
Today's THE AGE newspaper had WEG in the obituaries page with a cartoon of the Tiger's 1967 flag.

Why? He was a Hawk supporter.

( but i would like to agree with whoever it was further back.the title of this thread sounds pretty awful)
 
Love his drawings, got a couple in frames on my games room wall, always look forward every year to seeing them. my team or not. the winner and the loser, an institution of the AFL, RIP WEG!
