From the time Andrew Demetriou has entered the AFL, the game has grown and prospered in massive leaps and bounds, all over Australia and in many places around the world.

More people watch the game and go to the games since he has been in charge. But thats not from good management is it?

Bill, do you not like the direction of the game? Or should I not take you seriously? if you are prepared to write a paragraph on how slow the download time on the website is and blame it on Demetriou?

I'll bet Demetriou previewed the website's overhaul and gave the OK, control freak that he is.

When you have a great product its easy to promote.

Just like football/soccer went bust in the US when they promoted it as best they could many years ago. NSL? The biggest football code in the world, yet, they all went down the drain.

Its not easy and he has done a great job, the end product speaks for itself.

The AFL is the most powerful code of football in Australia and is extending the gap on its competitors. He isnt weak and thats what gets to his critics. Its not stubborness either, its a good work ethic and the beleif that he has in what he is doing that has got him to where he is. You cant just fold to everyones opinions.

What you see in the end product is what the clubs vote for also, if they all believe something is wrong they will all call for it to be fixed. So at the next AGM, make sure they discuss the internet connection, that will be no.1 on the list. Also the draft pick situation got to many, but Terry Wallace wasnt watching any happy days repeats on fox classics when they got his priority picks in 2004.

good post
but doesnt andrew have to give the inter-change a look at a well? or do we leave it and let the game turn into ice-hockey type. Personally i think this rule needs to be changed but does that mean it'll cause an uproar like the hands in the back, this is was the rule commity is for, its a vital part of the AFL
