Shouldn't that be best 2 midfielders GPB. Seems Collingwoods little media pitch had the desired effect. We can't and shouldn't be selecting our starting line up based on thowaway lines in the media surely. Terry didn't really think he'd outsmart Uncle Mick with these moves did he....surely..... :o
 
how about shultz? played really well up forward against the roos then spends all his game time v. the pies in the back half.
Terry dosent want 2 get fired & get a payout then join his old mates back in a cushy media job does he?

T4E I concur. Wallace and the coaching panel should have enough fortitude to boot any player to Coburg to learn lessons, teamplay, or skills. It is quite evident from the token dumpings that have occured under Wallace's tenure that either they are protecting their jobs, placating the foaming masses, or someone else pulls the selection strings.
If it's someone else why are they doing it? And whom?
 
I've given up hope with the current list and that includes the coaching staff. It won't get better this season. If we get rid of Terry before his 5 years is up, and I honestly do think he's lost the passion, then the 'we eat our own' bloody myth gets perpetuated. I sat there yesterday and for most of the game I was honestly ashamed to be a Tiger supporter. Why is our team so crap and why does it continue year after year after year? Why are they so dumb? They kicked a couple of goals late in the 2nd by getting the ball out of the middle and playing long hard direct football, so what do they do when they come out in the 3rd? Continue playing that style? No...they stuff around with handball and the rubbish continues. So what do we do? If Terry coaches out his 5 years then we're back to where we were 5 years ago. I can't see any way out of it anymore. I hate feeling this way, but they don't give you much other choice.

? moot point but shultz played up forward for most of the first half and then moved down back to take cloke who was carving up polak, even before he got knocked out. and *smile* did an excellent job.
 
Sorry Guys.

I have read the endless comments about Terry and seen and heard his interviews, however this guy is no longer capable of leading this side. Terry has lost credibility. He has gone back on his word so many times players have no faith in him. If he was the coach we needed surely by now he would have pulled egos into line, but no he bends the rules for individuals. Team rules, his rules, his comments. Terry had a rule in place about Richo playing on in the forward 50...never stopped him doing dumb things, Terry said players who cant hit targets would be gone....many are still there, Terry said senior players will pay the price...we dropped kids.

Terry admit it you have no idea, no plan and under you we have no future. PLEASE go! Go back to leading sales teams, writing drivel for the Herald Sun, make learned comments on 3AW, but please end the misery admit you failed and bu**er off!
 
Players out of position,
Not playing to the gameplan,
too much handball,
taking too long to kick into the forward 50,
poor skills,
ineffective tackling,
little or no talking,
zone defence that DOES NOT WORK,
continually kicking it ti Richo,
letting Kane Johnson captain again this year,
reintroducing Hyde and Tivendale,
recruiting McMahon,
playing Polak as a loose defender,
poor use of our quick players in Foley, Lids, Tambling

Why do I and so many other Tiger fans pull our hair out at these issues and they just keep being ignored?

What is Wallace being paid $500k a year for?
 
Dear Terry,

We have 18 positions on the field. Ask the players to nominate where they would prefer to play, NOT for once were they get told.

Give them the oppotunity to prove they deserve that position. Ask them for their direct input & collectively set their own personal goals to achieve and not just give them a gun to the head expectations. (You don't perform in 1 game your out).

All the players to be present when this is being done. Have the opposition notated on the board with their perspective position & the players input what they think they can do to beat their opponent when nominating for that position. Build a culture of US vs Them and place pride with what they wish to acheive.

There was this moment in the first quarter when Polak was absolutely outplayed - and the scum kicked an easy goal on his bad play.

So what do all the backline do????

They walk up and pat him, tell him it was a tough effort, console him etc

It is exactly the ethos you are leading to in this post - and perhaps it is indicative of the "new youth" - BUT - rest assured it is a LOSER mentality that has no place in any combative field!

Perhaps it's not up to fellow players to criticise him - BUT - I sure as hell aren't going to walk up and say "nice try mate" ....... because it WASN"T

How about when Jackson (I think) got chased down???

The minute he got up I hope he walked up to Tambling (I think) and say:

YOU FU!!kwit! ...... couldn't you tell me I had a man on???????

Nothing positive to take out of that game,

Not much to look forward to :(

Bring in Sheedy - at least he has the respect you talk about?
 
Watching that game V collingwood made me sick!

I had to leave at half time because I was disgusted with that effort put on.

It was bad enough that they came out soft last week V The Roo's but to do it again in such an important game this week is crazy.


I think maybe you might of lost the players because they arent doing the little things that make ordinary teams great.
 
I've been vindicated :D

On Footy Classifieds tonight Archer said that when he played against the Tigers he thought they were a fair bit individualistic (is there such a word?). Any how, basically they don't play the team game which is what I've thought just watching them. C'mon Terry to quote the late great EJ "Stick it right up em!"

Time for a Gaspargate for many of our senior players.

It's kinder time at RFC. Play the kids.

Saw that T4E and was embarrassed for my club. We've seen it for years but for such a respected player to say it so plainly should be a massive kick in the teeth to our senior group - I don't include Johnson in that. If they had any self respect it might have an effect but I can't say I've seen any. They turn up Thursday for their pay-cheque whether they've put in or not!

Come on Tigers, we're not wrong, we're not blind but we are passionate and will support you if you give us a reason to! This is not a church, blind faith doesn't work here! Evidence is what we need. Show us somehting, anything!
 
If we need a bloke on a forum to show Terry the bleeding obvious then we are in a lot of trouble. As someone posted on another topic, we unfortunately have inherited Terry Frawley!!
