We got smashed by debutantes tonight,
we quite often do
When can we see our kids like JON, Casserly,Edwards,Hughes etc get a game.
Will they make a difference?
I would rather find out if they will or not than continue on with the same old story.
I won't pick scape goats, but our team is stale.
I want the spoon this year and I want talent at our club.
wallace and Miller need to get over themselves.
Make the finals?
What the hell for ?
So we can get smashed, that won't breed a winning culture.
3 years ago I posted that we need to bottom out for the next 3 years to rebuild properly and most of you in hear shunned me for it
Well I bet deep down you all wish we did now, because we are crap and a very long way away from success, 3 years behind were we should be on our list anyway.
It is going to be a long year, I pray we don't finish 9th again as they have done most of my life.

Didn't agree then and don't agree now.  There is no need to bottom out for 3 years and ther's no guarantee of success even if we did.  We need to remain competitive, (or become competitive as the case may be) whilst doing the things right to rebuild the list.

Yes, I remember. We told you that you were full of *smile* then, too, but it seems nothing has changed... ::)

We dont have the guts to play debutants, to inject youth and enthusasim. We would rather give games to guys who ALWAYS LET US DOWN YEAR AFTER YEAR. I wont mention names we all know who they are.

This club has no courage, no heart and no respect from the footballing fraternity.

Trouble is the guys who let us down in the ones would be replaced by guys who let us down at Coburg.

If you can't comment without getting personal don't comment at all. Especially since you probably wouldn't have the guts to say it to my face.
So you are happy with our list?
Are you happy with our recruiting?

FFS we got screwed by *smile* & Toovey, both kicked a total of 5 goals, and that reject Medhurst kicking a bag, wrecked us.

Total humliation & embarassment.

Before the game last night, I made a comment about Collingwoods bravery to blood three debutants in the rivarly match againgst the Tigers. I just felt that Malthouse wasn't going to get caught in our hype, whether Simmonds or Brown were going to play during the week. Collingwood dont need huge marketing campaigns to sell membership tickets - They also dont need to be reminded, the future is now. Generation Next is an ongoing process for them. It's hard to say how many games Cox, Toovey & *smile* will play for the Pies. One thing is for sure, if they aint up to playing AFL, Malthouse will show them the door ;)

Well said Skills.

Do you still write the speeches for Kevin Rudd these days. ;D

Your right about 'generation next', Malthouse rolled up the RFC's generation next, and shuvved it up Wallace's poopa.

Malthouse knows Luciria, Burns & Buckley are on the way out. He also knows that Collingwood may well be at the cross roads if their young kids dont make. A few years ago when Brayden Shaw, Lokan, Morrison and co. were hacks for Williamstown, he never showed his fans a graph extrapolated into the future.

The way Richmond played last night, we were lucky Dean Limbach didn't get a game.

I think if we used our picks more wisely we would be in a bit better position!

Quote from Bruce McAvaney during the 2nd quater of our game:

"I like Cox"!

- Well Bruce, trell us something we didn't know already!!

Yep, noticed that one. You really need to hear it in Bruce's voice for the full impact.

There was also a comment from Dennis about Cox being deep in the pocket.....well, duh!

if's buts maybe's all day long.

We have been competitive.

I checked out our team of 2004 and only 13 players are still on the list from then. That is a big turn over. Anyone expecting our team to be better than it is at the moment, well, we have been pretty good, just haven't won. Hopefully the tide will turn soon, and the attitude of some on PRE. I know we can all have our opinions and this is mine... it takes time for revivals, ours will take longer than most. We seem (some of us) to be quite patient ferals...

:blah :blah :blah

Oops, that was a bit off topic

:clap to King and Edwards !

malthouse is full of it. All last year he kept mentioning Iacobucci, how good this guy was going be, how young he was and the opportunities he is getting. Where is he now? The only disappointing fact about last week's game was our loss. If we won and by a great margin, Malthouse would be copping it bad.
