Really sorry to lose Thirsty, but losing will Gas will not hurt us at all.  The game has passed Andy Kellaway by too.  Both great and courageous Tigers but both totally unsuited to the modern game.

Newman, Raines and Bowden are good but please, please lets use this opportunity to blood some skillful young defenders to slot in around them.  We put 'em in and give 'em game time.  We stick with 'em after they've had three or four kicked on them.   I so want to see the next Leppitch or Dustin Fletcher or Mal Michael coming through.

They are already out there sadly none of em will be playing at the RFC for the rest of season 06

will kelvin moore be ready this week?

i think we can cover the backman losses this week. even if moore is not fit. the lions have KPP injuries too. leppitch is out and clark will probably be out. that means bradshaw may have to play down back. that leaves brown and merrit as kpp forwards. chubba to play on merrit, jb to play on brown like he did 2 years ago... if bradshaw plays forward ray hall will have to take him.
Think Bradshaw will miss, believe he's done a groin.

Bloody typical,  seven out in a couple of weeks and only one a little tacker.
Can't complain about team balance against the Lions, with no-one above 185cm we'll be a beautifully balanced team of midgets.
Now if only we could steal a few of them little Bulldog puppies with a bit of skill and pace we'd be laughin.

That list doesnt hold too many fears in reality tis not much of an excuse for us as Schulz and Thursty are juniors with bugger all experience altho THursty looks to be a very important and classy AFL player for the future, whilst bthe other 5 Roach, Knobel, Stafford, Moore, and Gaspar i couldnt care less if they all got the flick at years end as none of em are really any good actually they are all ordinary, past it or not up to it.

No Schulz
No Thursfield
No Gaspar

A.Kellaway is really struggling and may be dropped

We're left with something like this:

Humm Bowden Jackson
Newman Hall Raines

OMG
:help

Every team in the comp is going to pack their team with talls just as the WCE did on Saturday night.

Joel, as good a player as he is, is a HBF and not a KPP. He was towelled by Lynch on Saturday night.

Hall was just OK but will be better for the run.

Newman and Hartigan's fitness looks questionable and are being matched against bigger opponents.

Humm is still relatively unknown and deserves another opportunity.

Raines is a sole ray of light.

Our defence over the next few weeks will need to be reshapen and retooled or we are going to be torpedoed bigtime.

Has anyone got any ideas left of centre to the crisis that is our dwindling defensive stocks?

On the face of it it could get very ugly in the coming weeks or am I just imagining things..
as i have been saying for yrs the lack of vision and list management has been nothing short of appalling
. the blame for the lack of quality young kpp on the list can be placed squarely at millers feet and to a lesser extent wallaces. the blame for the lack of hard at it ball winning mids will be placed firmly with wallace down the track.
Claw

I have read your posts with great interest through the Frawley years and now Wallace.
It has only been 5 min in and you are treating Wallace like Frawley.
I can't work out if you are serious or taking the *smile* to get a bite.
All I can say is it looks like you may be getting old in the tooth much the same as your opinions.
The darksiders would be better off taking a leaf out of Craigs book, at least what he has to say makes some sense.
Continually calling for the coaches head is a thing of the past.
WE NEED TO GIVE PEOPLE A CHANCE MATE.
Get a new angle Claw as you are also becoming a thing of the past.
