I'm just concerned about their mindset for the weekend's game. Do we chase the game or limit what we get beaten by...? Deledio's tongue in cheek comment made me think the players might be thinking the latter. There was nothing directed at Deledio directly - only toward "player negativity" which comes from 1 win and 1 draw and a 157 point thrashing the last time the two teams met. My main point was I hope the coaching staff are telling them not to worry about getting thumped and to go out and play positive footy, irrespective of the outcome.

They may go in with a damage limitation mentality, however subconscious it may be. I'm hoping that TW and the coaching staff are instilling a mindset where the players have the confidence to back themselves, without fear of recrimination if they don't succeed. Young players may not be able to do this.
