Its worth watching tonight to see Lids get some air time. ;D

I'd rather take a sickie at work and go down to training just to say g'day then watch brereton and newman carry on like tonight....

Don't share your vehemence Tubster - it's light entertainment (very light) with some handy footy news and views.  Try living north and you even appreciate light  footy entertainment when you remember to record it and watch it Friday night when Friday night footy is on delay as late 4.30am Saturday morning!;D

In a way I agree with you pharace but I dont have to put up with such stupidity - that is why i have watched the show only three times this year so far.

Agree with this too Tubster if your view the whole show as stupid - it's your call.

If you want decent footy then get foxtel and you will have more in one month then you do in a whole year of this rubish. 

Had Foxtel Tubster (Austar up here), but the bundling means you have to take Nickelodeon, which has some of the most agressive cartoons around - and I have two kids that calmed down incredibly once we switched off Austar.  It's the sacrifice I make (cos I really love my footy) to ensure my kids get a better go at life.

Your view on light entertainment is interesting as well. It is so light that it would float away on a breathe.

Dont kid yourself.  (Thanks for the advice ).  Just cause you are up north doesnt mean that this show is the be all and end all in football shows (Never said it was) and im saying that as a realist not a vehermant viewer as you so describe me.

Didn't describe you Tubster, just your view of the Footy Show)  It's vigourous - that's all - it's not a personal shot about you - hey you're a Tiger's supporter - I'll buy you a beer any day!

If this is your cup of tea then so be it but I have come to the conclusion that this show is just a vehicle for the likes of some very egomaniac, ignorant channel 9 personnel that use this show to fullfill thier personal agendas. 

Yeah, that's one view I've heard before, vigourous indeed, but I reckon it's easier to knock it when it doesn't have a strong Richmond flavour (or whatever club a person supports who happens to be knocking it).  It's just television - that's all, and you exercise your right not to watch it - if the three times you watched it this year left you feeling it was stupid - then good choice for you!  Others may see it differently though.

Thank god Lids showed alot of class - something which this show struggles to do on a weekly basis  (or at least three time you watched it this year ). 

I'm yet to watch the show (recorded it), but I'd say we agree most definately about Lids!  Even before last night he has responded with maturity beyond his years.  It's such a pity to have to win a wooden spoon to get a young player like him at the club.

Just get Foxtel and Parental lock Nicklodean.  Which cartoons were agressive?  Stick to the Disney ch or Caroon network.  Or even Hogan Knows Best.

Did ask that Q of the Austar Monstars some years back, but nup - too hard apparently. Anyway, we got so much sunshine, my kids discovered being outside is better. Probably like young Lids did - just to get the topic back on track.......... :hihi
