Saw it on the train this morning prettyboy and you're right, can't help but grin.  It is terrific to know Lids is already held in such high esteem by opponents and to have him compared to Judd, nothing more to say except :clapping :thumbsup :beer
 
My favourite parts:

At 18, Deledio has the size and swagger of a star. Wells only wishes it had come so naturally for him.

and

And he's only 18....................any 10-year contracts available ?
 
Don't know if anyone else noticed this during the international rules games. Deledio tried on a few occasions to sidestep and run around the quick irish but was caught (which was fine coz the little irish are just so zippy). However Brett had the strength and balance to be able to stand up in the tackle, get his arms free and deliver a really good handpass. Being able to stand up and work off tackles is very important and a sign of a very good and strong player.

I saw it too Harry.

I also noticed in the game how Delo ran around at 3rd gear and nearly blistering off at certain times but just remained steady for most of the game (unless Sheedy told him too?)

My favourite Lids point of the hybird game was that every tackle he laid he tried to pole axe the poor Irishman, always ended up with a sneakly fore arm to the throat or across the head.

Not anything nasty or dirty just making the oppostion now they are in a contrst and if they are caught they will be hurting, just a little bit extra.

Every one talks about enforcers, that is being a enforcer. Making the other team think "I hope that Deledio doesn't get me he will make me earn it, where is he right now?". CRASH BANG BOOM. BALL, YEAH.

Too late.
 
The lids has all the makings of a true tiger champion, i met him for the first time at the pre season tour for new members and found him to be fairly relaxed for an 18 year old in his first public engagment. i cant wait to see how he travels next season.

i would say that i have average sized hands, but he's are huge :o
