Hargh! Green was fighting Choc under his correct weight range and near stuffed himself earlier in Perth trying to stay down in the weights.
Soli is some weird sort of fighter and popped a knee when Choc clobbered him early.
Problem with Choc is that he fought flogs when he started his career and now that he is a reasonable boxer he still does nothing but take on flogs or guys he knows he has already bypassed, while constantly rabbiting on about how magnificent he is.
The only time he's got in against genuine quality he's lost and even now we don't hear him making a genuine challenge to any of the best in his weight range.
He should be dragging his proverbials through broken glass to get a crack at them on their financial terms not his if he was fair dinkum about challenging them, instead of just rehashing Green and Soli on pay t.v. for another fat pay cheque.
I'm no huge fan of his mouth, in fact I cant stand listening to him,but that is his method of self promotion, he wants to be the bad guy,
But I think people are quick to put him down, without knowing the facts,
He does have to fight both Green and Soliman again, contract signed before both fights, winner has to give loser chance of re match if they want it,
They too, both want the chance to use Mundines name, to earn a big payday again , something they could'nt do off their own names, harsh, but true.
I just find it a little strange how they too, did their share of mouthing, bagging Mundine, and talked the talk how he was scared of them, for quite some time, then both got their butts kicked, and went for the excuses afterwards.
Yet no none wants to talk about that, except find other ways to bag Choc.
Who do you suggest he fight, the great Joe Calzaghe is'nt interested, only a couple of fights left in him and wants a big name American fighter like a Hopkins, kessler has lost his title , and is inactive right now, they are the only 2 fighters ranked above him in world rankings
It looks like Mundine has to bide his time and wait for Calzaghe to retire, he is 42 now,
And a Mundine Kessler fight could happen then, with all titles on the line.
But he is better than a reasonable fighter , although noone likes to admit it, he is pretty damm good these days, not too many footballers going around I would think, with no amateur background in boxing , that could get to that standard so quickly.
