PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

I think for the first time in a while the Tiges are slowly building depth of quality players, albeit that many are kids and some will fail to kick on.  But for the first time in a while Richmond's second 18 in teh main offers either a ready made replacement for a first team player or a young development player with realistic hopes of being an AFL player.  Rating Tivendale and Chaffey as our 37th and 38th player on the roster I put together a first 18 and a second 18 which I think demonstrates we have gone a long way in re-orienting the team away from ordinary trundlers towards a team with solid AFL and some 'X factor potential'.  The job is still not done and there will be some more turning over of players. Chaff, Tiv and Stafford are almost certainties to go next year and some younger players will need to prove themselves such as Moore Roach etc.  Furthermore everyone will have their favourite whipping boy such as Krak, Hall and amazingly Pettifer in the gun.  But I think the future is looking Rosy, (and I'm not syaiing that to get a laff or to have a diggle at anyone)  ;)
