Ill ask again...whats the big bloody deal about franklin? He holds out for easy posessions and doesnt want to work hard....I rate "shotgun"williams higher than him....... :-\
Couldn't agree more
We might be best advised to judge him after a few seasons not 1 & 1/2.

Sheedy is a joke wanting to recruit ready made players. It's taken us 20 years to realise that it doesn't work. Take the best kids you can get and bring them up together for sustained success.

Sheedy just wants to hang in there to beat McHales all-time coaching record...thats all its about for him now.
The most overrated coach...4 flags in over 20 years, to me, isn't that good of a strike rate.
If you signed Wallace now on a 20 year contract, I'd bet my house on it he could outdo Sheedy! ;)

And this isn't the first time he's wanting to recruit ready-made players.....Camporeale, Allan, Murphy, Zantuck, brought Salmon back....Blumfield, Heffernan, etc....the lost goes on and on.

People have a crack at us for the Fioras and that...but the people out there, and the media should really start looking at Sheedy, and his recruiting as well...and give it to him! >:(

Desparetly seeking out of contract stars. I reckon TW & Miller would be shaking in their boots............not. Yeah right, I reckon Sheedy has a snowball chance in hell trying to lure any Tiger to Windy Hill.

Dunno GBP, I reckon he's got a good chance of luring some Tigers away. Chaff, Staff, Rodan, Moore, Roach and maybe Hall would be up for it. I can see him salivating over Roach especially as he played with his old man.

With those players you have mentioned, we should jump at the opportunity to trade any of them for draft picks,

Build a team of youth with skill, is the norm!

He better keep his hands off Bling >:( Hope we sign him up pretty soon so that we don't have to undergo the speculation that is happening with Hawthorn and Buddy Franklin.

They were talking about offering Franklin $800K over 3 years in the paper.  God, I hope that happens I will LMAO.  That's pretty decent bickies for a tall flanker going into his 3rd year.

if thats true how will they pay him? essendon are paying their bunch of overated duds 100% of the salary cap  :rofl

thats his problem. he doesn't have time to rebuild. essendon will need to make the 8 next year for him to keep his job and break jock machale's record, and with grosso (lloyd) and compo ( :hihi) back next year, he'll probably think they can if he can convince james *smile* to play on one more year... the reality is, he's a selfish bugger

Could someone clear this up for me please. As far as I can tell, essendon won't get a priority pick this year because they won too many last year. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Which means they will probably get pick 1 in the national and pre-season draft. So at most, he would get 2 players from other clubs that he wants. Any other players would get snapped up by other clubs (if they are any good)before they get their second pick. That would mean they would waste at least one pick on a quality kid in this superdraft. I think a sheedy smokescreen has put put up.

priority picks are at the end of the 1st round of the ND. so they will have pick 1 & 17, plus the first pick of the 2nd round pick 18 (or pick 19 if carlton win less than 5 games too). if essendon win less than 5 games next year then they would get picks 1 & 2 on next years ND

Haven't read this whole thread, just got home had the corporate thing on tonight down at Docklands, so excuse me if it is somewhere else.

But heard Sheeds with KB this morning and he was blabbering on about how big a lose Winderlich and Laycock were and how if those two were out there they would have won a couple more. They also miss Aaron Henneman very much according to the Plumber. Said Camp had been fantastic this year depite only playinga handfull of games and was happy to have him go on for another 3 years. Went on to say that Johsons, Mark & Jason had had OK years, same with Soloman. Well why did you drop them numbskull? Cause they were going too well? He really sounded so far left of reaility and where his club is at right now I would be ultra concerned if I was a Bombers fan.

Till they accept like we did, or were forced to that we were no where near good enough they will never be in recovery or rebuilding mode.

Franklin for Raines?
Are you for real man? Give up a tough, hard running son of a club legend, for a soft, outside flanker? Pass thanks. If Buddy makes it, good luck to him.
