after reading an article in todays age re a predatory sheedy going after the uncontracted players it makes you wonder how desparate he has become. if he is too agressive he will become so odious that come draft week the other clubs may have nothing to do with him. a few clubs seem already to be reluctant to deal with sheedy as he has a proven track record of mainly doing deals which weight heavily in favour of essendon.
it seems that they are targeting franklin via the pre season draft and while i don't mind if the dawks suffer a bit it might be one of our players he may target next.
if sheedy forces the dawks hand they may trade him back to wc/freo for less than his value just to spite sheedy. port did a similar thing to spite scumwood and it sent a message out to it's players and other clubs that if you dealt with port deal fair or lose out.
