Caught up with a few old Primary school friends last night and the usual reminiscing was taking place when one of them reminded me of the time when we had 3 VFL footballers come to our school to give a clinic.
It was about 1981 or 82 and one of them was Barry Rowlings. I was so excited that I was going to meet him but then I got into trouble in class and the teacher wouldn't let me go to the clinic. I never got to meet him :'(
