St. Kilda have had the wood on us for years. Too strong, too skillfull and too hard. It is laughable people suggest we tanked against them last year - see....... :rofl
We may have done a little tanking in round 22 last year with some positional moves to help ensure we lost.Otherwise we aren't good enough to tank.

Did you not see Jake King at the end of the game ? It was as if he just lost a grand final.

do you even know what tanking is?

of course the players will be upset they are out there to win

but when you take off the likes of newman and bowden in the last 1/4 dont tell me we were doing everything possible to win

for once we did the right thing and I was happy at the time but if I knew we were going to get jm because of it I would of rather we won

You did state that we didnt do our best to win the game, when in fact the players did all they could. I thought we were beaten because of skill level of disposals.

Its not as if bowden or newman were going to suddenly magically hold gehrig goaless in the last 10 minutes either!

Of course we didn't

Who do you think we are Carltank? :hihi :cutelaugh :hihi

it didnt help that 2 of our best kicks in the side were off the ground in the last 1/4 either

Richmond in 2007 was the most worthy spoon winner since Fitzroy in 1995.

Study the list. Hopeless. In the close games we were smashed when it mattered.

Talk of tanking is absolutely deluded.

I so agree. In so many games last year we just looked awful when the opposition lifted. We were like a truck going up a hill.

If people want to know whether we are going to get a priority pick or not at the end of the year well the answer is no IMHO. We play Melbourne twice this year and they look worse at the moment than we do - despite the fact that their mids used to smash ours a few years back and the personnel for both sides hasn't changed that much. But to make things intersting we play them in the last round. While I honestly don't wsh it on us it would make for an interesting game from the tanking debate perspective if we were on four wins going into the game... Natnui or bust?

No one is suggesting any of our players were not trying to win.

Anyway, who cares now? Bring on the blues!

Agree.

How can anyone believe we didnt tank against The Aints in Rd22.
Wallace even foretold of what was to transpire in an interview before the game, here after referred to as Fonziegate.
The clincher is in time on of the last qtr he took Bowden off. That left me in doubt they tanked at least to ensure the result.

nevermind we're gonna slay'em this season
