I hope so! His agates are on the line in 2009. He has dialogued with Cousins in recent times after Sheedy set it up.

I'm all for Cameron, March and Wright having vital input but the final call has to be with the coach. He more than anyone has to manage Cousins and integrate him into the team, work out where and when to play him and face the music at press conferences on game day.

Let's hope the long-awaited new sponsor did as well. That's been another saga.
 
Thought Wallace said earlier that he would have no say in the recruiting of players.
 
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but......

Why hasn't Cousins alteady been training with the tigers?
Surely they are not just assuming that Cousins still has 'it'?
If he is not allowed to train with a club, it is easy to do an individual beep test etc

Was this part of other clubs 'due diligence' before they rejected Cousins?

Have we based our decision just on a chat with Sheedy and Wallace?

Cousins is a fitness freak and you do not lose ability overnight.

So the coach should be list mgr and the list subject to short termism as a result?
