Didak charged over 'incident' with cab driver

SCOOP said:
I hate Didak as much as anyone, actually more then anyone, I hate Didak.

But I think he is in the right, it is not $25 from Hawthorn to Kew. I don't think Didak would have been unable to pay, I think in this case he has been stitched up.

Dumbdak probably fell asleep in the cab and the cabbie drove around for half an hour until he woke up. :spin

Wow, talk about spindoctoring. The following quotes from President Ed on ninemsn.com.

"Mr McGuire said Didak was probably just a bit unsteady after recent knee surgery."

"Some of the information we get is that the officer who was there thought he was a little wobbly on his feet and you tend to be that way when you've just had a knee reconstruction," Mr McGuire told Southern Cross Broadcasting."

Just before in the article, a police spokeswoman said a person had been arrested and taken to the lock up to sober up and also he was being drunk and disorderly and released on bail. Which is what normally happens to everyone who doesn't walk 'normally'. ::)
Fair dinkum, pies players could commit murder and from the chief honcho down, they would justify it somehow.
CULTURE!!!

Geez the pies are out-spinning their previous spin.

Hilarious!

Can't wait to see Eddie's explanation when Didak is caught in bed with Carla: "Alan's crutch slipped. That tends to happen after a reconstruction." :rofl

Seriously though this has got to be a big worry for the Magpies. Here's a list of their recent indiscretions

I can't help thinking that a culture thing like this has got to come from the top. Eddie might me good for business but his "one of the lads" "law unto himself" attitude isn't good for the team IMO.

Twenty minutes in the slammer.

I wonder if he ticked off the minutes on the wall like Neeeck Rivers did in Top Secret?

Hear what you say nitro but there were two people involved in the incident - only one of them was arrested.
ive been arrested a few times jb im not going to bag the bloke. but i will say at least in my case they got what they deserved. how i wish we could go back 20 yrs where if you did the wrong thing and copped one for your troubles that was the end of it.

The list of indiscretions since McChin and Mickey Mouse took over are looking bad, makes you wonder how bad they were before with McChin's rat infested culture under Tony Shaw comment.

"A little wobbly on his feet" because of a knee reco - unbelievable. They just keep getting better and better. Why isn't he on crutches if he's just had a knee reco that's still giving him so much trouble he's limping (noticeably)? And as Scoop said, if that's the case then what's he doing down the boozer in the first place!?

I guess they had to think of something. They couldn't use the old "this happens to everyone all the time but his indiscretions are just highlighted because he's a footballer/he plays for Collingwood" line because it doesn't happen to everyone all the time. Sure, most people (including me) are drunk and disorderly from time to time but how many of us regularly get so pickled and/or obnoxious that we end up in the lockup? And the "footballers/Collingwood players are easy targets when they go out" line probably wouldn't wash either because (without making any rash generalisations) there's every chance the cab driver wouldn't have known who the hell he was! Good old Collingwood...

Why didn't he just get another cab? They are everywhere around Hawthorn at 1am. There about 5 pubs and 3 nightclubs in the area!!.

It must have been getting pretty serious for the police to feel the need to take him away.
Thanks artful Dodger.......ya just hit it on the head mate.......Thats the defining point in the whole affair......
Just goes to show...........if ya cant handle your *smile*,just dont go there!

Gee,Ive racked up quite a reputation for being "drunk"but all the cops told me to do was...
"Bloody hell, its only you nitro......"get outta here before we charge you with makin the place look untidy"....

It was interesting to see the different way it was reported on the news. 10 and 7 had the item quite high up in their bulletin and didn't gloss over it. 9 on the other hand thought it was less news worthy and you could almost get the impression that the drink factor was a minor matter.

No surprise at Channel Eddie, Andy.

Dropdak could have murdered someone and they'd be putting a spin on it. :P
