..... still very glad I'm a Tiger's fan.

We were way undermanned and copped a few rough umpiring decisions but we nearly knocked off those perennial pretenders Freo on their home dunghill. All in all it was a bit of a reality check. Let's give it to the Kangaroos at the G next week and get the Tiger's bandwaggon back on a roll again.

Imagine at the moment being a supporter of:-

Essendon   :vomit2
Geelong  :vomit2
Hawthorn :vomit
Carlton :vomit
St Kilda   :shakehead

Whilst the umpiring was ordinary Mr Sneeze we made some very ordinary decisions which contributed to the loss.Forget the undermanned excuse.

No excuses at all MB.

As I posted earlier elsewhere we had no-one to grab the game by the scruff of the neck when the crunch came near the end. We simply were not good enough.

Disappointed.... yes. It would have been a very sweet victory to stick it right up Freo.

Proud of our effort.... yes

That's footy  ;)

i hope the boys aren't proud of their efforts. they should be hurting from this loss. they should learn a lot from this.

Agreed.

Their attitude and ability to bounce back has been encouraging this year. I hope they come out firing against the Kangas and run them ragged.

I am actually feeling pretty positive considering all that's happened in footy over the weekend.

Richmond had a real go, which is probably more than what happened for 2 of the games this year. We were only just beaten,
but 1) we were missing a couple of our best players, I don't think Freo were
2) Freo were fired up to play well, and it was in Perth
3) near the end a couple of 50/50 decisions went against us
4) other teams near us on the ladder lost - StKilda, Geelong, Brisbane.

I watched the Coburg game today, and a few of the guys who could come in next week played pretty well and looked ready, being *smile* and Cleve. I actually thought if Schultzy had the ball kicked to him a bit better, he could've kicked more. He lead well, and looked a good player throughout. And as we know, Cleve is a lovely grab and good kick. He just needs to bulk up a bit more so he can start to dominate in the 1's, which will happen in time.

And just another aside, I was expecting the radio commentary from WA to be biased, like Fox was according to reports. The main commentary was slightly biased, but the special comments wasn't biased at all. They commended Richmond just as much as Freo, and were pretty good.

Now we just need to beat the Kangas and Hawthorn over the next 2 weeks.

....but I am positive about the direction in which the team are heading and the improved self belief that is evident by their attitudes and they way they have gone about their footy thus far.

The last three games are indications of improvement and greater focus and desire to win and stand up to be taken notice of by the competetion. This I am proud.

My only concern is if this side can take the hard knocks like the loss last night and turn it to advantage only to be even more fierce to win next week and further more the most part of the 2nd half of the season. I couldnt handle seeing the hard work done so far this year and the respect earned be lost and mean nothing with another poor 2nd half of the season.

I said at the start of the year if we are 5-5 after round ten then I would be happy, which I am as are most I am sure.
I hope browny can come back at be not too far off his best and the sarge to take the comp by suprise and more great games by the current improvers this year and we will be there this september.

Dissapointed at losing, Yes, but very happy to be a Tiger supporter. :clap
