Do our players believe we can beat Geelong?

In the last three encounters (including this years practice game) Richmonds average losing margin against Geelong has been a Bradmanesque 99.66 points per match. They are presently sitting on the top of the ladder undefeated, whilst we have managed to scrape in two and a half victories. If you believe some of the nonsense posted in this thread you'd almost think we should start the match as favourites. We don't have a monkey on our back in regards to Geelong, we have a 1000 pound gorilla. With almost exactly the same personel just believing that we can be competitive against this mob will be a massive ask. Can they do that, be competitive? It's possible (and if they are, it might well give them a realistic chance later on in the season to actually beat them, assuming injuries and a decline in intensity don't kick in). But honestly, in their heart of hearts, do they actually believe they can beat Geelong at the present moment with the psychological scars they're carrying, I'd be amazed if they do..

I spose you're right. Richo is playing terrible footy and nobody is showing any spirit. Geelong by 1000 goals - *smile*!

No more likely closer to the 99 point average of the last three games. I would have thought it would take more than spirt to beat the undefeated reigning premiers (bearing in mind they seem to have ample reserves of it also). And as for losing sleep over Richardson, I suspect they would if we had more than one of him. Failing that just being competitive for most of the match would do me.
