i have found my self doing the same lately. . cant handle the soft free kicks and the in the back rule. If it frustrates us to the point of flicking the channel, imagine how the players must feel.
I'm the same DS. I love Richmond but rarely watch other AFL games now. In fact I hate the AFL and their favoured clubs and rigged draws and inconsistencies and rule changes and standover bully boy tactics.
I get far more enjoyment from the local footy. It's far more closely related to what I used to love about the VFL is than what the AFL is. Honest, grass roots footy that the supporters feel part of rather than just a number to cough up $$$ to feed the machine.
