Dockers Reject Roccha Makeover

Fremantle has decided to keep its current jumper, colours and theme song after rejecting a bold pitch by a prominent design agency.
“I thought nothing could be worse than singing that ‘Heave ho’ crap,” said Fremantle captain Matthew Pavlich, “but Roland Rocchiccioli can’t expect us to sing to the tune of Dancing Queen after a win”.
“Freo team. See us play wearing tangerine… What the *smile* is that?”
But Rocchiccioli defended the concept he’d pitched to the Dockers. “Tangerine is the new purple,” he said. “It would make the players look faster, even if they’re not.
“And that anchor is so 20th century. I’d like to see the team abandon that bogan Dockers identity for something that retains Fremantle’s maritime heritage in a much more vibrant way. Give me the Fremantle Seamen any day!
“But I’m not going to lose any sleep over the decision. I’m sure my ideas will be embraced by the Western Sydney Divas.”
