docklands ripoff

Aside from any preferences so far as facilities are concerned.

One thing that the "G" has all over ES is the quality of football.

There is a makred difference in the percentage of entertaining games between the two venues.

The size of the "G" promotes free flowing football, conversely ES is ideal for teams to be able to zone off, drop numbers back & clog up the game.

North & St Kilda are teams that can play that unattractive style only at ES.

We've parked twice this year at Harbour Town, a few mins walk to ES and for $5. As for the other cost, bring as many thing to keep you munching and drinking if you want you bank account to stay afloat.

Can't stand this ridiculous, over-regulated ground. It is making going to the footy a chore. I will be limiting my attendance at this ground to the point where I will think very seriously about even attending our games (even though i have AFL membership with club reserve seating).

Then maybe they should try being true fans and not jump off because of a couple of losses.

Then again, maybe you'd prefer we were all like one certain member on here who refuses to buy a membership until the team is successful again?

A true fan like you I suppose - hardly (though I admire your loyalty toward attending all games). No, you're one in a million. We can't replicate you. It takes all kinds, I just don't get being so sweepingly disrespectful to the other 999,999.

As to the question of membership, that might buy some a badge of honour, but it's bigger benefit is the act of giving and receiving. You can, however, support without membership - everyone's circumstances and priorities are different, and for different stages in life too. Again, don't see any benefit in putting down someone who might be waiting for more successful times - quite the opposite - you might drive them away unnecessarily. It all adds up!

Todays game is proof that you dont always need a roof and predictable dry conditions for a good game of footy.

$5.50 for a small bottle of water. Ian Collins and Jihad Stadium can go and get *smile*ed.

I felt like I was sitting in Dubai tonight.

Customers: A lone tiger sipping a crownie. What a joke Docklands is!
