now just one more thing...why do people dislike telstra so much..if we won our games there would any one be complaining...i know we dont seem to play as well there but there is no real reason for that. i do prefer the mcg cos of the atmosphere but other than that what is the problem? ( oh,,,and i do like catching the escalator up the top..no ramps!!)

This subject has been discussed heaps over the years but considering we have a lot of new posters now I've taken the liberty to move ronni's question from another thread.

Maybe people can get stuck into something other than Richmond for a pleasant change. :hihi

Let me list the ways I dislike the dump ronni.

  • Takes longer to get to which is a consideration after driving two and a half hours to get there
  • Need to book or risk not getting access takes out last minute decision to travel down
  • Poor entry method if you have to pick up tickets at the ground. I'm not a fan of missing the first bounce while waiting in a queue outside
  • Our players and coach have voiced concerns about the surface and the injury risk there, as they evidenced by our soft tissue injury rate
  • Our seats for home games are up in the nosebleed area. I have a height phobia and really struggle up there.
  • Doesn't have the atmosphere of the G. I find it sterile in comparison
  • I hate the closed roof. Footy is a winter game and I'd prefer to be out in the elements
  • Doesn't have the formiddable Punt Road End.
  • The bottleneck to get over the bridge after the game is claustrophobic and dangerous
  • We don't have any home ground advantage there
  • To sum it up...Docklands just isn't my beloved MCG.
