PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

g'day all,
as we all now we are now in the silly season in the football states of australia, with everything being focussed on AFL. thank God we are now in the school holidays in VIC.
last week my son's primary school in country Victoria (Goulburn Valley) had a 'grand final parade' where all the kids came to school dressed in their favourite team's colours.
They then played all the club songs and got the kids to line up and do a lap of the basketball court according to which team they barrack for.
it kills me to say this but in our school of over 300 kids, Collingwood had the biggest bunch of kids by far. But interestingly, the mighty Tiges came in second most popular

i was a bit surprised, how many teams can do nothing for 25 years and still capture the hearts of these little 5 - 12 year olds? What's it gonna be like when we actually start winning some premierships or even games??!!!

What's it like where you live? are the Tiges right up there like they seem to be in my community?

i hope the giant is awakened and we leave these other crappy Melbourne teams behind.

your thoughts....
