This is a report we write up every week, we are biased and may have a bad understand of some of the Tigers players. Always good to read what the other side thinks will happen.

Yes, very interesting.

1. Minson, a smoky? Thought so.
2. Grant to play at FF. Ok, had that one too.
3. Morgan to play CHF, not Skipper. S'pose Skipper will double in the ruck.

If Skipper plays CHF, call the game of now we have lost.

One of Skipper or Minson wont play.

Morgan will play FF/CHF with Grant next to him. I thought you may like to see our view on the game. Another odd thing you may see is Griffen and Smith up forward a lot more this year.

Have the doggies improved their pre-season after the tigers game? I saw them play in Darwin and thought they'd run Melbourne ragged and out skill them. Wrong on both counts. Doggies skills were poor and Melbourne made them look slow.

The Doggies look pretty good on paper, but the game in Darwin made me wonder if they are slow starters. Maybe they are a little light on for preparation in comparison to us?

As for Street, he may be 7ft tall, but he was thrashed by the Melbourne ruckman that night. Barely touched the ball all night. The match-up with Simmonds could be a major worry for the Doggies methinks.

As for our match-ups I am most worried about Murphy. I can't see anyone in our team to effectively curb him.

Good preview, snobby one.
I didn't feel you were too bias at all. You obviously know the Bulldogs alot better than the Tigers, which is to be expected.
I was disappointed for all the work you put in, you haven't had a single response, except on PRE.
Morgan, turning 25 in October, would it be fair to say he needs to show something this year or it is goodbye? To be honest have never really noticed him.

Disco they were not all written by me, we have a experts forum in another section of the site which had 6 people write the work up. I did the forward line report but posted them all as i can edit them as we go.

All Morgan needs to do is get fit, he is a good hard worker and can play all most all KPPs spots on the field.

On the dogs pre season, we have really started slow with Eade not giving many of the better players much game time, Grant would only play 30 odd mins in all games. They say the lose of Darcy and Williams will really hurt us, but we didnt have them last year at all.

bogan, i think you've gone with a wrong call on deledio being a bit light for the midfield. He's up to 90 kgs. He's huge and is ready to dominate the midfield or fwd line as a fast leading full fwd.]
o/wise fair points re; tiges bit slow and sloppy skills, but improving...watch out hehe

I also think that you may be over-estimating Grant and under-rating Gaspar a fair bit. I will be very happy if Friendly gets Grant all night as he does a decent job on him every time he's played him.

Their main defender - Darren Gaspar
If he shows any of his All Australian form from a few years back, can really
shut down one of the Bulldogs key forwards, most likely pick up Chris Grant
or Adam Morgan.

Im not sure where someone has down played Gaspar, but i guess he can be a touch hot and cold, if he is having a good day no one can beat him, but if its not his day then Grant will kick 5 or 6. Dogs dont need there talls to kick goals, they need them to get the ball down to our great smalls we have.

On Deledio a lot of people do think that he is still very light for his body, i think by the team he hangs up the boots he would have put on anoter 6 to 8 kg in bulk.

Ver yvery very rarely have I seen Gaspar get 5 or 6 kicked on him, and usually in the rare cases it does happen it is due to our past incompetent midfields and the sheer volume of kicks heading into our backline.

Deledio has apparently put on kg to get to 90 kg. What a player he is going to be.

IIRC this is his third year at Footscray after being traded from port.

Kellaway could handle him easily. That'd be a good match up for us.

Gaspar does run forward now and then to kick a goal. Expect him to kick 1 tonight. ;) But will Grant follow him or stay home?

Dont be surprised if Morgan plays CHF he is picked up by Kellaway and Schulz goes forward to CHF or FF.

IMO Pattison will not be played at CHF for any signifigant amount of game time. He will come off the bench when Simmo needs a rest.
That means either P Bowden/Schulz/Deledio could all be possibilities to play CHF at some point in the game.

TW will surprise us with some of his moves and player positioning. He always does.

Can you imagine if Deledio put on another 8 kgs? A midfielder running around at 98kgs? Think he would lose a bit of his speed then. IMO he is just about right weight at the moment.
Look what happened to Simmonds when he was too bulky early last year-lost a lot of mobility and Deledio isn't as tall as him
