Doing the Radio Switch!

I agree with you 6 Pack. I'm an ABC listener, but even today as I was driving home from Melbourne listening to the footy, I had to turn off when I heard the whining, preachy voice of Mark McClure. He was getting stuck into the Kangaroos the way he normally gets up on his soap box about the Tigers.

All I wanted to do was listen to 1611, but it was all crackle and static past Ballarat.

Go Coburg tigers!

gotta agree about mclure, can't stand listening to him. talk about a grumpy old man X 1000 .... but nah, that's an insult to grumpy old men .... i guess that's just what happens to you when you've played for the blues - you develop "old bastard blue-itis"

My radio dialled has never been turned as frequently as it has in this season. Years ago I was once an ABC man but got depressed when they hired Drew Morphett. Switched to AW a few years back but eventually got disappointed by the antics etc. Then SEN but their call is appalling, especially KB. MMM I tried but the blokey, matey, CH 9 type atmosphere turned me off.

So I now switch stations constantly and it's not very satisfying.

Maybe theres something wrong with the listener

i've been listening to SEN since day dot. with footy, i've always listened to MMM, but have switched over to SEN this year. cant say they that good, but i listen to them to support the station, and i'm sure they'll get better over time. i want them here forever. that 1116 dial has been a poisoned chalice in the past

Fifthted. Although Martin Pike is useless and Mark Fine isn't much better. Disappointing evenings now after Mark Doran and then Beva.

Agree on Pike and Beva, why was he given the boot? He was also a good commentator, I'd rather him than Doris Doran.

But I love Finey's final siren on weekends, its actually disappointing when they have others fill in for him as happens too frequently.

Along with quite a few others I have been a SEN fan since day one.

With all the St Kilda supporters on air there it will also be interesting listening over the next few weeks if an off field blood bath takes place down at Moorabbin.

What actually happened to that trainspotter, Bruce Eva?

He got given the boot. I've never heard the exact reason why.

I never heard why either. A caller asked Finey straight out the other day - "What happened to Beva?" and Finey was very cagey. Just said "He's no longer with us."

Don't get SEN here, but we do get 3aw & the ABC. Rexy & the boy's for me!

You can stream it on the interweb - I listen to it from here in the UK.

I'm an SEN man too.

Just hope Walls or Hunt never turns up at SEN.

I don't mind aspects of SEN. Their footy coverage is ok, it isn't dull like the ABC or over the top like AW. Can't stand MMM.

I tend to listen to all of them and change stations when the morons come on. Like McClure at the ABC, or Hutchy (when he still was on AW) and Dermott at times and MMM, well I can't listen to them at all.
