PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Thought I'd share a little experience yesterday. It's a trivial one, no earth shattering news or anything. Though I always find it interesting to see "famous" people in reality and see what they are like, thought some on here might be interested.

Not to mention we have a lack of any real footy news to sate our anticipation on.

I ran into Richo yesterday and had a chat with him. He was very friendly and approachable. I don't normally approach players, especially of other sides, but love the big guy so had to pay respects as I literally ended up alongside him anyway.

There was no news to report, nor did i go prying. We just shot the breeze and spoke small talk and I moved on respecting he had better things to do than be hassled by a fan on his downtime.

Two things I was rapped about though.

A) He looked in tremendous shape, his always been a super athlete but some years he has carried a little weight (even against team plans). His certainly presenting himself physically in top form this pre-season. I hope his tests and (lack of) injuries are equally good. Would hate to go into a season with a underdone Richo.

B) I had a chuckle as I was walking off. This is a guy who truly bleeds yellow and black. He was just in his casual clothes but was wearing a yellow t-shirt and black shorts.

Love to see modern players who take pride in their team's jumper/colours.

Wishing all fellow PRE's a prosperous New Year as it approaches!
