Trying to milk an opportunity to get the english yobbo dollar.

Arranging an education dep. of the footy club, where players learn the subtle art of different positions, from insights from formaer greats of the game.

On the surface at least ... we are looking good. This club is no longer a follower, we are leaders in our industry.

Well done!

Agree that all these initiatives are very positive.

However, although i would like to agree with the sentiment of the RFC as a "leader"......that will only ever be the case when we hold the premiership cup aloft!

well done for checking yourself at the thread topic.

its a shame we even do this but after years and years of disapointment its understandable.

hopefully one day we'll be as arogant and mean as we like and just say it straight out ................

WE'RE THE BEST AND WHAT YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT! >:D

Yeah, both great initiatives by the people running the club. RU mentioned earlier that holding the premiership cup will really prove to everyone that the RFC would be the leaders. I agree that would be the case, but it's these other projects the club works hard to get from the drawing board into reality, that will keep the club moving in the right direction.

I've heard KB mention on SEN that in the days of when Graeme Richmond was appointed Secretary (I think it was his first position at the club), he made the effort to have an article about the tigers in the newspaper everyday, at one time a famous basketballer arrived from the US, GR would call the media and have him stand next to Balmy and see the height difference, he would also call the media when a new recruit would come from the bush.

I know that was then and this is know, but the Tigers where leaders back then, but unfortuntely we don't have a GR today, instead we've had previous recruitment personnel that have totally stuffed up.

yeah well the flag would be nice but after 25 years in the dumps, who wants a flag just to go down the gurgler for another 25 years? Not me.

TAFE sounds like a brilliant idea.

i think the initiatives increase the chances of sustained finals appearances with intermittent flags along the way.

keep it up richmond. :cupgold

totally agree!!! Arrogance is a very important quality of a top team. Look at St Kilda and Brisbane when they play. Alot of teams have lost the game before they even go out onto the field. Brisbane vs Nick Reiwoldt last yr was a perfect example. How many other teams would u have seen go after him while he is injured?? I would say none. And thats why they win 3 premierships in a row and were one of the best teams in the history of the AFL. Maybe their dream run is over now but if we get the arrogance and confidence of this team, i think we have the talent to bring home the cup a few more times for the yellow and black!!
