PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

It's a blight on the game how we stuffed around running the clock down towards the end of the game.  I don't know what the opposite of a standing ovation (which Richo got from our reserved red seat area) but the boos and the demands to get on with the game from the members were deafening.

Not only did it result in a couple of Bummer goals the thing that disappointed me when we virtually had the game in the bag is that they could have continued to entertain us by kicking it long and direct to the forward line to give Matty every chance of kicking 10.

Other than that an awesome and extremely entertaining game with all the typical Richmond traits.  Will we hang on to our lead?  Will they sap our confidence and run away with it if they hit the front?  The 3 point margin made me very nervous.

Richo was the supreme entertainer.  Absolutely awesome performance.

The kids were great.  Tambo's, Whitey, Cam all add what we need with their tackles, run, chases, endevour etc.

I love the way Rayzor (am sure it was him, only caught it out the corner of my eye) gave the dirty sniper Johnson what he deserved.  About time we saw players flying the flag when their team mates are decked.

I was rapt with the game last night and am particulalry glad the players are taking that performance into the pre-season to inspire them to work hard for bigger and better things.  I just hope the keepings off plan doesn't get too much practice.
