If we don't win a game for the rest of the season how many games can we win next season to get a priority pick????

the afl are considering scrapping the priority pick altogether. agree with it in principle but not when we are a good chance to get picks 1 and 2 next year.

Is it the AFL or just Mike Sheehan? :hihi

If we win 4 games, every year, until 2011, therefore, we would have about 8 first round picks. Then, we will be a powerhouse team!!!!! :o :o

Priority picks have never won premierships, if we play for draft picks we will continue to win wooden spoons.

Isn't it 8 wins over two seasons? So just say for example we don't win another game for the year and stay on 1.5 wins, does this mean we can win 6.5 wins next year and still be eligible for the priority pick 1?

GO TIGES!!!

No, Mikee. Max four in either season for the Pre-Round 1 Priority choice. If we win five next season we miss out.

Likewise Carlton this year.

Lol.
Get pipped by Carlton for pick one and then change the rules when we are a good change next year to benefit from them.
Aaah the joys of being a Tigers fan.

Disagree tannerz - big chance we will win less than 4 next year, and yep - it'll be tata terry!

Our list will only be improved by delistings and draft picks - the draft picks won't have a huge influence next year and our current young crop will only be 1 year older (obviously).

While I think our potential will be strengthened, our results won't differ too much from this year.

Go Tiges - 2011!

Go Tiges - 2011!

The AFL will screw us by removing the priority pick - i can see it now.

If the priority system remains and the tigers go to the draft with priority picks, in 08 then it will be a new coach using them cos Wallet will get the bullet next year if the club flounders again without a proper list structure.

This years draft trade and de listing period will determine whether Wallace sees out his contract or not.

Could be right Craig, Carlton's tanking confessions will be the final straw for Andy Pandy. To be honest, I hope they go because they are a blight on the game, just the very fact that teams are berated for winning indicates just how pathetic the system has become.
