Dreamtime Jumper

The original idea behind the match was that the clubs' colours were red, black and yellow, matching the aboriginal flag. Not sure why we need to detract from this.

The best thing about it is that it was designed by an Indigenous person who has clearly explained why she designed it that way.
Whilst my initial feeling was that it was ugly, the background behind it makes it far more tolerable.

Bring on Saturday night.

I will reserve judgement until I see the boys run out in it on Saturday night ( via TV). But I'm sure it will look better than the "centenary jumper, that is way in the back of my wardrobe. (Never again to see the light of day)..
I just want them to win!!

I really like the look of the jumper
Agree that a dot painting one would look very good also

Maybe next year, hey RFC_O ;)

It's not just "a guernsey" it's our guernsey - obviously that means nothing to you... >:(

What part of Dreamtime don't you understand?

Have a look of what's inside the jumper everyone and support it Saturday.

Personally, I'd've put the design over the black, and left the yellow untouched.

Meh!

Nice idea though.

If we do it again theres a fair chance we'll open it up and have multiple entries.

And remember, dot painting is traditional indigenous NT art, the one on our jumper is traditional Victorian indigenous art.

I've had a vary unfortunate visual about the grey and orange shapes and I just can't get it out of my head :pullhair

I have no problem with an indigenous component added to the jumper, I just don't like this design. I'd also prefer something that didn't fill-in the entire sash.

I really like the sound of Mr T's idea:

Personally I would've not been so bold in violating the sash, well at least not all of it - perhaps an indigenous motif off the shoulder and then fading into the yellow sash

I agree with that. The dot sash would be good. Quite classy actually IMHO

RFC Official I hope the club continues to build on the tradition and wears a unique one-off guernsey for the Dreamtime game. Hopefully the Bombers join in the spirit for 2012. Great work and the club should be congratulated for the initiative.

Fairly sure we sold out of the jumper too.
