That whole play, starting with Kolodjashnij kicking the ball inboard to Lambert, turned the game our way. Sure, Miers kicked one against the flow soon after, but our shadow loomed over them with George's goal.Did you notice Lynch and Riewoldt get stuck into him after Castagna wobbled through his goal?
Does he come with the guernsey?

Thing is if we had not done 1or 2 , 3 would not have been an option.Which is the biggest draft error?
1. Tambling before Franklin
2. Fiora before Pavlich
3. Scully/Trengove before Dusty
A true sliding doors moment
Thankyou Melbourne FC
This feels like the intro to lord of the rings.I will never forget Dusty’s first goal in this GF. One arm to take the ball, one arm to fend off the backline, one leg to kick and one leg to keep his balance.
He has the greatest and most thrilling highlight reel of any player in any sport.
Thanks aoc.For anyone interested in what a fellow premiership / Charlie / Normie recipient thinks of Dustin. .... this is well worth a listen!
Ps.... if the play button doesn't appear, just crank it up at the 36min mark and Chris Scott's view.
Monday Footy Review with Jimmy Bartel - 26th October 2020
The incredible 2020 AFL season came to a head on Saturday night with the Tigers claiming back-to-back Premierships over the Cats by 31 points, after being challenged in the first half they put the foot on the gas in the second half and took charge of the contest. Really good listen. Rama makes a great call about Dusty being like James Hird ( say what you want about The Coach but the footballer is still one of the best I’ve seen. Period) with footy IQ and ability to put himself in the position at big moments and execute under the highest of pressure in the biggest games. For anyone interested in what a fellow premiership / Charlie / Normie recipient thinks of Dustin. .... this is well worth a listen!

Great wasn’t it @Scoop ...... he reminded me of myself as a little kid when I idolized Royce and Francis. .. I would always get a bit giddy when I was talking them up to me mates!Bartel calling him ”your favourite players favourite player” is bang on. Level up stuff.
I’m not surprised, he comes across as somewhat slimy, could be the wig, not sure.Fair to say Ralph is milking every drop of the limelight with a few embellishments of the stories over the past couple of days.
I can say that first hand because my dirty football secret is I was there the day Dustin toured GWS. It's my second best sporting story.
The full story needs to be saved until I retire but suffice to say it was a very weird day and there was no doubt at the end of it that Dustin and GWS weren't a good fit, which made me very relived. If Shaun Grigg was torn on Saturday, I was confetti like.
How far off retirement are you?Fair to say Ralph is milking every drop of the limelight with a few embellishments of the stories over the past couple of days.

Not sure I agree. Whilst he may come across like that he does seem to get the best for him clients which is his job. Also he has built a very strong relationship with Richmond.I’m not surprised, he comes across as somewhat slimy, could be the wig, not sure.
Heard his interview with Tim and Gary and it’s “we” and “I”, never “he” (as in Dusty himself). IMO he came across as if he has been the architect of Dustys career. I don’t like him.

That’s how I’ve heard it too BR.He's a actually a very nice guy but comes across as very slick which can be a bit off-putting. Dustin loves him like a second dad though.
A long way in a general sense but only a couple of months from AFL life.
A lot of it has been spoken about by the main players though so I don't suppose it will hurt if I give a little snapshot.
At that stage I was much closer to Dustin, having helped him a bit as a young bloke and through his draft preparation and was still giving the odd bit of advice here and there and it was a dream come true to have him at the club I love.
You can imagine the mixed feelings when I got a call to say he would be landing in Sydney the next morning and could I pick him up and drive him for a tour of some of the GWS facilities, which were still being built, and the Giants ground at Olympic Park.
I was on the way to the airport in a GWS Skoda vehicle when the call came that the media were onto it and not to use the club car so they grabbed a black SUV that was about as subtle as a punch in the face.
The ground was easy and we thought we were sweet but the media were camped out at the construction site and we didn't realise they had set up at a multi-storey car park next door and were filming everything we thought they couldn't see. I'm the guy in the GWS gear that never gets named in photos with Leon Cameron, Graeme Allen, Steve Silvagni and Dave Matthews.
After the tour when they had a chat Dustin was pretty reserved as per usual, until he started talking about Richmond and he would light up. It happened time and time again. Eventually Leon straight out said to him you seem like you'd prefer to be at Richmond and Dustin agreed. That was pretty much the end of it and when he left there was no question he wasn't coming.
They may well have agreed to some terms in discussions beforehand, but there is no way he was going there after that day.
Well then we ALL look forward to some ‘stories’ to fill space until season 2021 starts.Yeah not sure, I was just a pleb dragged in to give Dustin a familiar face so there might have been something more concrete in the background but it didn't feel like that to me.
Leon is a really straight shooter and the fact the media had clearly been tipped off (and it was pretty obvious by whom) certainly didn't do much to impress him.
I gave notice today and am a few beers and reds in so I'm probably a bit less discrete than usual.
Ha ha.Most of the good ones are cricket related, the support staff get a lot closer to the players and socialise a lot more.
But I'm hoping to get back on the 20/20 circuit so they might have to wait. There was one night in the SCG room in 2009 though......
Other than extra boxing sessions and meditation that has been spoken about in interviews, what other extra work would he do?And while I'm gushing about Dustin, the other thing that I think differentiates him is how hard he works as a superstar.
Most real greats work their arses off and then get to a point where they just maintain and rely on being able to flick the switch when they need to.
Dustin is different because he just works and works and works. I reckon if you graphed AFL players extra work he would be right near the top, but if you did the same graph for the top 30 players in the comp, he would be an absolute standout at the top, by some margin.
