bullus_hit said:Pturls, any journalist worth his salt will analyse both sides of the argument and then come up with a well thought out conclusion, they will always accept and encourage new information and if indeed they have an open mind, they will occasionally shift their views according to the times.
Bolt is a political activist who represents certain groups in the community - he sees the world in black and white and will continue to do so whilst he's on the HUN payroll. Contrary to being well constructed arguments, they are one-sided rants which are very often lacking in thorough research and often come across as being petulant.
Bolt also continues to spout the same issues with the tedium of a broken record, generally I welcome views from all corners of politics and opposing ideologies but I draw the line at someone who stubbornly refuses to accept that the world is cast in shades of grey. Commentators such as Mark Steyn tend gravitate towards the right side of politics but he is also very deft at arguing a case and often leaves me pondering my current stance on various issues - that is at the very heart of what it is to be talented writer and journalist.
Viva la difference I say. But I reckon they are both from very much the same quality batch of journos - full of bs.pturls said:Back to my original post related to this thread - 'As far as being a journalist (read columnist), Barratt is not in the same hemisphere as Bolt'
I stick by this.

He certainly won't be going anywhere if you continue to click through to his articles and feed his blog.
I thought that might have been a nice finishing touch skipper.CptJonno2Madcow2005 said:This is a family site MB.Cant type the rest ;D

Chiang Mai has a wonderful inexpensive and totally professional dental restoration clinic. :boxing

It is OBVIOUS you do not agree with what he writes, hence you see them as one-sided rants. He always provides facts and figures to support his opinion, which is more than many others do.
the claw said:his is a really funny thread its just gold that people cant see the blatantly obvious. heres a clue mr barrat is doing us all a favour. we are on a win win with all this nonsense.if mr barreat berett borat ah damien is proved wrong he looks foolish and loses awhat credability he has.in the meantime he keeps those in charge of our club on their toes which going by our performances on and off the field is a good thing.
you know ferals i hate to say this but a fair bit of the time mr bearatt berrett borat ah damien is correct.i mean to say one example when a side is 1 and 15 or thereabouts everyone should be questioning the coach.
no people i woulkd leave leave mr whatsisname alone and when we actually go debt free and win a premiership shove it up him then.
dont worry about being forgetful brett. you can rest assured i never will or forgive. but atm he has us over a barrell with our pants pulled down its a scary thought.Brettstigers said:Claw I just don't understand why we can't do both. Shove it up him now AND shove it up him then.
From a risk perspective I do have considerable concerns that if we fail to give him a right royal reaming right now - when we do win premiership, go debt free etc, etc, that we will be so happy that we might forget to take that opprtunity of driving a hob nailed boot up his clacker. And he might have retired or more likely been sacked.
Nope, on reflection definitely time to take the long run and go the kick up the backside now. ;D

Seems very two faced of Barret.
Typical gutter journalism.
