PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

What has impressed me about RFC is the younger brigade that is evolving & performing at RFC. I know alot has been said about our recruiting, but the hunger to win of many of these players on the field has really shined out.
Their tackling has been a highlight this year & impressed me as they forced many errors on opposition players

These players have under 2 years football expeirence and it heartens me that we are on the right path.

1. Dean Polo - 1 game - kid has proved his talent - rising star nomination
2. Will Thursfield - 7 games
3. Nathan Foley - 10 games
4. Andrew Raines - 13 games - rising star nomination
5. Kelvin Moore - 15 games
5. Richard Tambling - 17 games
6. Daniel Jackson - 19 games
7. Jay Shultz - 27 games
8. Brett Deledio - 28 Games - Won the rising Star 2005
9. Shane Tuck - 31 games
10. Brent Hartigan - 32 games

You add some of the other talent that has progressed like the following;

1. Chris Hyde - 53 games
2. Patrick Bowden - 56 games
3. Kane Pettifer - 65 games
4. Mark Coughlan - 77 games
5. Chris Newman - 82 games

... you start seeing the nucleus of a new team emerging that will help rebuild the foundations of our club over the next 5 to 7 years and hopefully might capture a few flags along the way.

Wallace has said he will always field a team from the best youth combined with the best senior players and we just missed the finals and we have been very competive (forget the dogs games) in other games as well.

Any thoughts?
