PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

I've heard from a few sources that our players weren't allowed to have an "official" end of season trip this year for a few reasons so was a bit surprised to read waiting mention that he saw Polo, Hughes, Limbach, McGuane and Patto in Thailand.  (It's a small world ;) )

Of course the players would be free to do what they like in their time off but I wonder about those young kids being there alone as opposed to on a trip with the whole team.

Do non-playing "escorts" accompany the players on trips to keep an eye on things usually?

Is it unusual for a veto to be put on end of season trips or is the decision an exception rather than the rule?

I find it a bit fascinating cos footy trips are mens business and I don't know much about them. I imagine end of season trips are great bonding experiences but our boys seem to be scattered all over the globe in small groups.
