I think we need an enforcer at tigerland....ive seen afew calls for an enforcer in other peoples posts too!!
Our last so called 'enforcer' was (snot-boy) Fleming but he was crap. Before him it might have been GODSZILLA, anyway a guy that comes to my mind that TW should have a look at is P. Thomas (from essendon), i think he may even be delisted so we could get him fairly cheap. Judging from what i saw of him he is a handy player and a similar build to Mr. Shinboner of the century.. What sort of enforcing can Lappin do?

u need football ability as well as an enforcer - not sure if thomas is up to afl standard in the ability stakes

I'll have a go.

Got a bit of mongrel in me, but has been controlled all my life. Think I even have a bit of concussion from basketball last night. Didn't even see the ball coming when it slammed straight into my nose.

Anyway, where do I sign? FWIW, I'm lethal on both sides of the body when kicking the pill......

an enforcer would be nice but i'd rather see us get some blokes with real talent as we do lack these at the moment :hihi

if we wanted a PRE -ended we'd draft lebo...after all he did take on Rory Hilton.

Jackson could develop into this type of role. Probably not as a true enforcer, but a hard at it, aggressive style of player who doesn't take a backward step.

The days of the true enforcer are long gone, but we definitely need to add some hardness to the list.

We desperatley need about half a dozen and we should stay well clear of any potential draftee who hasn't shown consistent hardness at the ball and a willingness to back up his teammates.

I must say I like Redforfuns comments about the Lower brothers and depending on who else is available, it wouldn't surprise if we took Ed with pick 40 and pherhaps even Nick in the rookie draft. :bash

I think you'll find that as all the boys physically grow stronger than their opposition that they'll all become enforcers.

Classic example is the brisbane side that won 3-premierships... They were an entire team of enforcers or hard at it types! Foley is hard at it, he will be like an anthony stevens type respected but not feared.

Ah well least he is respected and not fearded unlike plenty of his team mates who are neither respected nor feared nor rated by the opposition and deservedly so!!!! :hihi :hihi :hihi :hihi :hihi

I hear you LOUD and clear Craig... In your opinion where do u think K. Johnson sits in the eyes of others? We should just offer Ricciuto 2m a year because he fits all of our needs (1)is a good capt (2)feared by all and then some (3)he can play abit, actually, alot :spin

Where are they going to come from, our list is one of the softest list going around we have not been able to but any wt. on our players for years.

Yeah it is a bit worrying that there is not much hardness on the list. The worst part is that if one of the younger boys gets pushed around there is no one to stand up for him. Wayne was good at it (knights and libba/Sugar and steve baker). I think it lifts the team and encourages me as a supporter.

In the last couple of years other teams have not respected us (for good reason) and have pushed us around, and sadly we have let them. Its time this stopped and other teams started to fear us (both with skills and physicality).

Big difference between soft and smart. You can't be an enforcer like in the old days - it breaks team rules - not to mention the bank account!

Hall and Tuck have both been hard enough - it's just that Hall has been caught out once or twice. Hartigan and Cogs are not soft - Cogs being smarter at this stage than Harts. Simmo should be a lot harder - maybe 2006? Newmo and Hyde are borderline but getting harder. Chaff has a bit more fire than you reckon. Stafford is hard - ask Everitt!

Under Wallace they'll get harder with each year - more quality pre-seasons to harden their Frawley-soft bodies................................. ;D

Good to see Frawley still getting a mention :) possible mature age recruit, we could use an extra defender is he is a hard type...something to ponder! (he owes us after his coaching effort)
