Sad to hear of the death of Dylan Tombides, very promising young Australian striker at West Ham. He played only recently for the U21 Socceroos a few months back, shocking that someone in seeming good health can pass so quickly. His brother is still signed at West Ham.

I saw it too ant. Bewilders me how this happens at 20 years of age. RIP to the kid.

(Sidenote to the media: The kid's name is Greek, so please pronounce it that way)

David Moyes and Man U = Karma :hihi

How sweet it is to be a toffee right now :rofl

Your not wrong there.

Moyes: knock knock

Everton: Who's there.

DM: David Moyes

Eve: hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahah :rofl :rotfl

If the payout is the remaining 5 years and 6mill a year, then Moyes would be the happiest man alve right now

I believe there's a clause which entitles him to one year - about £4.5mill.

The Chelsea wall won the game. Mourinho's like a 10 year old schoolboy jumping up and down sucking lollypops. Amazing how time wasting still seems to be a 'tactic' in soccer.

Damn Everton, we headed away any chance of top 4, top class headers though, no keeper in the world would've stopped them.

If there was a Mourinho clone coaching AFL I would be more than happy to have him coach Richmond.

The bloke just gets the job done and doesn't give a *smile* who he pisses off in the process.

Did you see him go over to Rogers during the first half for a chit chat, would love to see Buckley on Friday night wander over to the carlton coaches box and have a yarn with mick, Eddie would explode.

Cos chipping the ball around backwards to "ice the clock" is not a timewasting tactic in AFL

I get your point, but, passing to and fro in defence in soccer could also be icing the clock. They are two different games especially as manager's have more on-field influence during the game when compared to AFL coaches.

True. Micky and Clarko come close, maybe Wossy. I just don't like his personality. Too up himself.

Liverpool should have parked their bus also. 0-0 draw and they would be champions. could have played kick to kick for 90 mins. Not sure why Rodgers didn't think of it

Yes, passing the ball through defence is a tactic in soccer but is easily prevented by applying a full press. You also can't take a mark and stop the game - soccer is much more free flowing.

As to soccer managers, I'd argue they have less influence. No runners, no interchange. They can yell at players though.

True, but like in chess, tactics change depending on what the opponent's next move is.

We know that Rogers' love is more in attacking, but if Gerrard didn't slip, Ba wouldn't have been handed a gimmee goal and it could've stayed 0-0 all day.

Jose's plan was to hit on the counter. Rodgers fell for it.
