I reckon the should give Borini a few more chances and then get Suso in the seniors instead of wasting time with old players.

Suso is far from ready. Morgan will get more chances before suso. Suso plays gerrards role.

spurs finally off the mark. i missed the game but the reports say that our ball movement was much better. hopefully the squad has now gelled and its a sign of better things to come.

We were okay but will struggle to finish top 6 with this squad.

Morgan and Yesil should be on the bench, at least.

I know people say that Rodgers sees these players every day in training and knows when they are ready or if they are performing well enough to warrant selection, but I think with our lack of strikers at the moment, we don't have the flexibility to be choosy over who we have on the bench.

typically crap media here in australia there all over chelsea beating stoke by a goal yet everton beats swansea 3-0 away and gets no mention

Everton played really well. Fellaini (sic) is a gun. Swansea are no slouches

Liverpool in relegation zone and West Brom no lower than 5th.....who would've thought!

Me! (on the Liverpool one anyway)

It was always going to be a very difficult start once the fixtures were released and even made harder when incompetence allowed Kuyt, Bellamy, and Carroll to leave with the only striker brought in being a young, unproven bloke from Italy.
Suarez is more of a 'creative' forward, not a consistent striker as well.
Where exactly did they think the goals were going to come from?

The sad thing is, apart from the first game, we have played quite well and even the game last night against ManUre, we dominated before the red card and still had the better chances when down to 10 men even.
Halsey was the best ManUre player on the pitch as was proven by the red card (and non-red for Evans/Van-Persie) and the Valencia penalty and duly won ManUre an undeserved 3 points.

Its going to be a long few months until that January transfer window opens and we are able to get a decent striker.... :-X

RVP should have gone, very similar tackle to what Shelvey got sent off for.

Gunners probably should have won. Defence is looking rock solid. Bring on the chavs.

I don't think Suarez or Borini will produce many goals for the club as this attack looks really weak, but I'm glad Suso's finally in so let's wait until he settles to see what he can do.

They played well for the 1st half until the 10 man squad no thanks to Shelvey's stupid act even towards the Chewman, and I must admit, those chants were not called for from both supporters.

Like you said, it's just a waiting game til January where the club now has to play catch-up football.

too bad Liverpool couldn't eek out a draw. Arsenal v. Chelsea shaping up as a mouthwatering contest this weekend.

Much as I enjoy seeing Liverpool down the bottom of the table (still remember when Livers maintained that Rafa Benitez was a better manager than SAF) it will take a while for the players to adjust to the new game plan. A good striker would help though.

spurs another very average performce at home. our inter-passing was terrible, although we were pretty good on the counter and is probably why we won in the end. we'll take it.

if anything, it was worse. but those things always go in favour of manure.

liverpool were shafted. not a penalty and not a red. in fact it was a red to the manu player.

liking the new solid defensive side to the gunners. out played shitty and gervinho should have put them away.

Bould has them playing well doesn't he. The BFG our new general! And how good is Jenkinson playing, Sagna may not get his spot back.

Welcome change from seemingly fragile outfits of the past few seasons. Some good signs early in the season. Jack back to full training too.

Spurs! Massive win at Old Trafford. Arsenal lost too. Good night of football.

Spurs were huge. That's one of the best EPL games I have seen. The Spurs on the break are breath taking on the break. Blinding speed. Once you get in front at Old Trafford nothing wrong with parking the bus. And that's what happened. Vertonghen is looking like one of the best pick ups of the summer. What's really pleasing is the sprinkling of youth coming through. The AVB era has started very welll.
