English Premier League threads [Merged]

Actually the only reason I mentioned Rafa's lack of EPL titles was someone saying "Oh Chelsea will probably win the title now". Rafa doesn't have that sort of form, pure and simple. You've now decided to make a federal case out it.

So you disagreed with ThePercies.....and you also disagreed with my post to "Evo" about Chelsea getting Rafa back in in an attempt to turn the Torres investment around by saying it made "little sense".....so I'm purely wondering why YOU think Chelsea got Rafa in for, as you seem to disagree with the suggestions put forward so far?? :don't know

Seeing that you still didn't answer that in your previous post then I assume I was correct in my assumption that you have no idea and this is purely just another predictable case of disagreeing with my posts, for the sake of it :yawn
I'll leave you to contemplate that.

For other posters reading the thread and are happy to talk about the game....it'll be interesting to see what happens with the managerial position at Chelsea.
Rafa is disliked by the majority of Chelsea fans, especially for his comments regarding them during the Liverpool.v.Chelsea rivalry in his time with Liverpool.
All the talk is about Pep Guardiola coming in at season's end...but will Pep Guardiola go to a club where he is under immediate pressure to deliver?
Barca is all about a philosophy, where players come through the youth ranks playing a certain style and already know the "Barca way" when they are introduced to the first team.
They also have Messi.
So is Pep overrated a little? and would he go to Chelsea anyway?

TL : DR

Seriously mate, quality is more important than quantity. Brevity is the soul of wit. Life is too short to waste time reading recycled drivel. Repetition is not argument.

As I said in a quick one liner way back when, there is no guarantee that Guardiola would even want to go to Chelsea.

See, it's easy to be concise.

Fat Spanish Waiter got heaps of boos from the Chelsea fans at his first match in charge against Citeh at Stamford Bridge, poor bugger. Finished 0:0 which is better than a loss. If he's as good as Livers suggests and revives the career of Torres and wins the league, I imagine he'll get plenty of cheers.

who in their right mind would wanna coach chelski? on an absolute hiding to nothing.

Chelsea fans showing us their true class...booing and singing venomous songs about Rafa ::)

You'd think these morons would be singing songs about Roman instead seeing as he was the one who got rid of Di Matteo and put Rafa in the job, eh?

Anyways, if Rafa turns Chelsea's fortunes around then that will vindicate Rafa's standing in the game and show these plastic supporters a thing or two.....if Rafa fails, then Chelsea go down further into the mire, which isn't that bad of a thing either.

Win-win situation it seems 8-

“We don’t need to give away stupid plastic flags to our fans to wave, our supporters are always there with their hearts and that is all we need. Its the passion of the fans that helps us to win matches, not flags. Chelsea fans lack passion. (speaking on Chelsea fans waving flags).” - Rafael Benitez, 2007

Looks like 'Arry's taken over the QPR job from Mark Hughes and is desperately callling for Beckham to join the team. Good luck 'Arry. ;D

Never been a fan of Redknapp but silly he’s not. QPR can’t get/do much worse & if it doesn’t work he can always blame previous regimes, ‘repututation’ intact either way..

you seem pretty mouthy for a guy who supports a team battling to survive relegation.

Best thing QPR could have done.

Watch 'Arry change the face of that team in Jan.

:cutelaugh all in good fun, my good man!

Tough start for Rafa though...against the champions one day and a few days later, a London derby....thoughts so far?

One of the worst Arsenal performances I can remember at home. Comical at times.
Lack class. Theo taking corners show's how far they've fallen. In the last 15mins had Theo, Gervinho, Rosicky in attacking positions, none of whom are genuine finishers. Good at creating but final balls are usually poor.

Pending a miracle can forget CL qualification. I imagine this is how Spurs fans feel.... Europa Cup here we come.

Not EPL, but AFC Wimbledon to travel to Milton Keynes Franchise for the FA Cup second round meeting, the weekend 1/12/2012. An historic weekend in the life of AFC and one that will be bittersweet, no matter what happens.

Is live on Foxtel - ESPN HD - here at 11:30pm. Regardless of result AFC have come a long way...
