It facinates me all the hand wringing and misplaced vitriole that supporters and commentaters give after each performance.

After yesterdays game Walls and Shaw rabbited on about how there was no skill, heart, passion, fitness, strength same old blah blah blah.....but hell, these guys are paid to talk crap to incite listeners and get better ratings.

At PRE everyones a list manager saying delist this guy, that guy...or half the team...

Why do the majority always focus on the the 'effect' rather than the 'cause'.

We are poor because we have an inferior list - our list has been poor for 25 years.

We have a poor list because we dont have the right number of resources in player recruitment & development. You could argue that we have had the wrong people in the limited roles we have had - however these people have been turned over ten times in this period with no impact.

Perhaps we dont have the best football manager (Miller) or coach (Wallace), however they have both proven over their careers that they can get the job done when they have the cattle.

As supporters we should be expending all our efforts and attention on ensuring the club becomes properly resourced in the areas of player development and recruiting.

Its not an exciting or easy prospect, but its the only the topic worth pursuing unless you particularly enjoy pissing in the wind.

As PRE'ders how can we help the club achieve this goal?

Do we lobby hard for more change now rather than next year? 1000 emails to the club on the same topic might be a start.
Do we get a consensus PRE view and present this to the media and club?
Do we forgo membership hats & tea towells if if the club makes a commitment that every dollar saved will go to an extra full time recruiter?
Do we ask for a Recruiters club to go along side the Rookie club? (To secure an extra full time recruiter)

I know I dont have the answers, but I do know the questions are at least in the right direction.

Congratulations on your point which I have highlighted in BOLD. I agree 110%

The problem is that whenever someone tries to raise the issue and get things moving, They are labelled bandwagoner darksider and many other nasty terms. I.E posters such as The Claw

In summary, not only are we fighing against a dumb football deparment, we are fighting against our own clueless supporters
