Whether it's other PREnders or our players being discussed it would be appreciated if it could be done without swearing, name calling and/or insults. This is a very busy forum that is enriched by the diversity of it's members but it's not pleasant to read the regular vitriol that's crept in. Surely we've all got the ability to discuss an opinion without needing to make it personal....if not we shouldn't be posting anyway because they are conditions that have to be agreed to before any of us can register. The site rules were put together after PREnders were asked for their input.

Registration Agreement
Messages shouldn’t threaten or humiliate any other person or contain personal insults. 1) There is a zero tolerance policy for flame wars, baiting, and malicious personal attacks on all forums. Such activity will result in posting rights being suspended/banned -- without warning.'

Input is invited, either on this thread or privately, on this topic because as I said the rules were put together from suggestions from members when the site began.

Several posts have had to be edited since posting this reminder. I don't understand people, often regular posters who are well aware of the rules, just ignoring it. Why people agree to the guidelines on registration if you're not willing to abide by them.

If we allow swearing and abuse for one we have to for all and I don't think it would be too pleasant around here if that was the norm.

Surely it's not that difficult to have a debate without resorting to insults and abuse of those we don't agree with or who don't live up to our own lofty standards. :help

^ I agree Rosy.

You've given me a well deserved sabatical several times now after I've pushed the rules too far ... Since I've returned from the last one, i've mostly been able to live within the rules with ease.

It's not that hard.

Must say the thing about this site over other forums, is the lack of childish bull *smile* that go's on compared to others and not to many keyboard heroes

Several? It's only a couple isn't it? When you have to take your socks off to count you're in trouble. >:D

It raises an interesting point. Some people completely ignore requests about their posting, some even get very aggro behind the scenes, but most take it on board...agree to the rules and continue to contribute.

We'd rather everyone stay here posting no matter what their views are as long as they're expressed civilly, both towards the players and towards fellow posters. As you say it's not that hard.

Couldn't agree more. I no longer visit other forums as they feel like teenage chat rooms. Keep up the good work Rosy et al.
