Essendon lukewarms

How fitting it was to see the Tigers, the club Sheedy turned his back on - end his teams finals chances.

The tigers would be mad to ever let him near the club in future. Same goes for Malthouse.

Couldn't get to the game, but watched it on Fox. It was a great win, though we had plenty of opportunities to win by a greater margin.

One thing that stuck in my mind was Richo , he was getting the bagged by the essendon supporters on the half back flank with 30 seconds to go. He just marked and must of heard some stupid comment, he just turned around and showed them the ball with a great big smile on his face. It was a fun to see.

I have always thought that their is two types of supporter bases.
The squealers - ie St.Kilda & Essendon & the 'roarers' ie- Richmond & Collingwood.
For that reson, St.Kilda & Essendon are my 2 most disliked sides.

Agree 100% with this. Add Geelong fans to the list of squealers. They love rocking up and watching their team give the opposition a pasting and they love rubbing it in. When they lose, they put their scarves in their backpacks and slink off quietly before they get some back.

Collingwood, Carlton and Richmond supporters are perennially deluded and defiant, no matter how badly their team is going. You have to respect consistency.

there was a better atmosphere at the port fairy v north warnambool wooden spoon match on sat than on sun night. It was also very unusal having only about 20% of the crowd being tigers.

I just keep on thinking there are a lot of theatre at bomber land who with hird and sheedy gone will probably start dropping off.

I was suprised to see some ess people leave early also, but anyone who watches tigers games knows there are a number of tiger supporters who leave games early very often

Obviously somethings never change.

I remember Essendon fans doing the same thing in the 1995 second semi final......... ;D ;D

Mate the loudest roar that u will ever hear at the footy, almost 89,000 and id say there were easy 50,000+ tiger fans. It gave u goose bumps when we starting pouring on the goals in that 3rd term, the noise was absolutely deafening.

Don't know couldn't hear it over the thud as O'Donnell hit the ground when he ran into old evil eyes Scotty Turner. ;D

That was brilliant by turner. i think he bowled someone else over too.

How about in that second term when dear marked and he's elbow accidentally glazed across Lloyds head that *smile* show pony pretended to be hit hard and the mark wasn't paid and Lloyd got the free well when it was shown on the big screen Lloyd put his hand to the wrong side of his face meaning he didn't feel any contact just sucked in the ump...The crowd went berserk, well for those who weren’t their what u heard next was deafening, "*smile*" *smile* continually being yelled out at fever pitch while Lloyd had the ball and then passed off to someone in the 50 metre ark, the boos and *smile* were *smile* so loud well i was a part of it too. The goal went through and the Essendon supporters cheered but tiger fans were booing so loud it washed right over the bombers cheers, a game i recommend to anyone who hasn’t seen it get ur self a copy and u will see what i mean about sheer noise in the third and last Quarters actually also our first goal in the first term, matty nights running to the 50 meters line and then letting loose a hanger brought the bloody house down the roar was fantastic.

I am not sure of all the details, but like Kane Johnson, wouldn't you want to go to a team you barracked for a try to make it a better team?

Not saying I want Sheedy in any major capacity, but....

Now with the Sheedy and hird "theatre game" out of the way, I am looking forward to giving essendon some nasty beltings in the coming years. It is now payback time in a big way. >:(
On sunday night their weak, spineless, "supporters" started making comments about us finishing last, and the fact that we havent won a premiership since 1980. All this while our boys piled on 7 of the best goals you will see!!!
Eat em alive Tiges!!!!!

I listened to it on ABC and they were having a bit of a chuckle that the Big Fella was giving it back to the Esserdun supporters.

Wish I could have seen it. It didn't show up in any of the papers. :'(

Don't suppose any PREnder got a snap of the incident?
