On 3AW Sheedy was saying he will be going after the best uncontracted kid for the pre-season draft.

Memo to Greg Miller - Sign Bling up now!!!!

Why would Bling want to go to the Bummers?

I suppose you could expand that to, why would anyone in their right mind want to go to the Bummers?
I reckon all these "un-contracted" players would be desperate to sign up with their clubs now, having heard that...just in case ;)

Hmmmmmmmm message to Greg Miller:Greg give Sheeds a ring to remind him of his everlasting policy of not going after a player like we did going after Soloman.

Sheedy said club would be on the "warpath" to pick up a senior player in the pre-season draft.

"Any of you players who want to get Essendon and are off contract this year, don't sign up, we're coming after you," Sheedy said.

On 3AW Sheedy was saying he will be going after the best uncontracted kid for the pre-season draft.

Memo to Greg Miller - Sign Bling up now!!!!
Sheedy might not even have a job by then.

I know your right sb.  :)

But I am just a bit uneasy seeing Bling followed the Bombers and has stated that he wanted to play for them due to their history with indigenous players

But a lot of water has gone under the bridge since then!

Fair points, WT, but who plays against the Dons in the Dreamtime game?

Maybe in 15 years time, when Bling's retiring, maybe we'll let the Dons have him then...

And we don't have any history with indigenous players? ::)

Hey Zoso I am just stating what Bling said.

I know our history with indigenous players and I am sure Bling knows it now esp. with Egan as his mentor

I wasn't taking a shot at you, sorry if you took it that way. He won't be going to essendon.

Cheers Zoso but you were probably on the money. Our history of indigenous players doesn’t get bandied around like the Bombers does. And it goes deeper than just the indigenous players that have played for us when you look at someone like Michael Bowden.

It was great looking at bomberblitz last night, a number of users and heaps of guests (about 60!)seeing what was posted on the game day thread.

I stopped watching at half time, just lost interest. The only exciting bit was seeing how much the Crows would win by.

I really feel for Sheeds and the bombers after losing 9 in a row.....ppphhtttt....

Couldn't happen to a better bunch of Tools. Die Bomber Scum.
:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

Hmmmm next week....I think it would be great if this years two worst teams going around struggled to an after the siren draw.

Wouldnt that bring a tear to my dial. Not sure who would be the favourites in that game....surely not the ferals?

That would make 10 without a win for sheeds and about 7 without a win for bummer!

I'd be more happy with Essenscum reversing their 21-1 record in 2000, to a 1-21 record this year.   ;D

Handbags will be favourites. Good chance they'll drop that red-headed #### after another woeful performance. :hihi

Hmmm. We've been there and done that and haven't played in this round yet (although if we lose to the shockers by 23 goals then I give up). But ........

That MUST be an accuracy record. Has there ever been a 30-goal score with the behinds in single digits?

Think not.

Just checked this website (http://stats.rleague.com/afl/afl_index.html)

Checked the records of all the teams (took quite a while!) and you are right. It is the most accurate game in VFL/AFL history

the closest I found were:

CLUB SCORE YEAR

Sth Melb 31.9 (1979)

St Kilda 31.10 (2004)

Essendon 29.7 (1950)

Carlton 28.9 (1972 Grand Final :'( :'( :'()

Best for the Tigers is: 24.8 (1984)

34.18 (1980)
