Expectations from West Coast game

Would like to see Knoble take the ruck at the centre bounces and throw ins - because I feel he can go with Cox in the tap outs - then around the ground put Simmonds onto Cox and have Knobel a kick behind the play swapping with Simmonds on Cox for stoppages and throw ins. This would IMO limit the ball being fed to Kerr, Cousins, Judd and co.

Ruck situation is interesting, RT.

Obviously Simmo can't do against the Eagles the (fantastic) job he did on Saturday night against the Saints. We need another serious ruckman for this game (geez, even Tuck was rucking against the Saints !).

Thought Hall may have been an option to "tag" Cox, but he will be needed in defence.

Pattison isn't yet up to big-time rucking, so we're left with Knobel or Stafford.

Mmmmmmmm. More pondering required........

All games are winnable, why cant we be a chance. They are an AFL side not like they are a village team taking on West Coast.
In theory your right Shawry but this will be one tough game.Over there as StKilda found out is not very easy.

It is just a mindset players and fans but more importantly players need to get out of their heads. Theoretically why should interstate games be any tougher than any other game. IT is only is if they believe it is using excuses like travel and home crowds. REally win the footy and kick more points nad goals than the opposition. I think interstate games have this aura they really shouldnt, it is just the individuals that blieve it. Obviously losing that mindset is not easy and trends show it is the case but if they believe I have no doubt they can do it.
Just my opinion!!!

The pessimism is contagious.  We'll only win by 13 points.

Sorry Rosy but you are wrong on this one. We will win by 22 pts. :hihi

Hardly anyone believed we would get close last week & the Tiges nearly pulled it off. Well this week I honestly believe they will !

As a supporter I believe that we will find it very difficult to win over there. However, every player on the list should be going into this game not hoping we can win, not thinking we can win but knowing we can win. As great as the effort was on Friday night, I do not want to see "honourable losses" or the " near enough is good enough" attitude begin to infiltrate the younger players on our list.

A win. The outlook for us isn't good. It is early in the season so upsets are very possible. We need a win A.S.A.P and there is no way in the world we can get anywhere near them if we play shootout. I don't care if it's at Subiacio. Put all 18 of our blokes around the ball and see how there stars go when there is a bloodbath in the middle.

The most we can realistically expect (or hope for) is that we don't have any more serious injuries for our up and coming young players, and that we actually play some of our up and coming young players. Don't care about the score, although I suspect it will be by the end very, very ugly...

I want to see them go in hard, contest the game for the whole 4 quarters, make the Weagles earn everything, the kids continue to develop and no injuries.
