Extra ingredient needed for Deledio to become elite

Won't this concession encourage clubs to lock in all their elite players before the end of the 2010 season? It wold be a bit risky for the players to hold out for more on the basis of a nod and a wink from GC.

yes, but managers are advising players to remain out of contract to maximize negotiations with their club

When does the access to uncontracted players end - is it just for 2010?

Out of contract at the end of 2009. GC only have access to uncontracted players at the end of 2010.
