No wonder he has asked to play down back, he probably got sick of trying to play full-forward whilst interchanging 13 times per quarter. I thought he must have stolen Plough's tanning lotion or something.

You have to absolutely hate being beaten and are filthy when it happens. Thursfield has it, McGuane has it,
I'm not sure Polak has it , and I don't know if Schulz can find it either.
When we drafted him, what possie did he play for SA in the under 18's, i thought it was CHB, and if so, he has had experience in the position. I say give him a go for a while, do not drop him if he has a bad one, and see what he is made of. I personally think that young Rance will be our future CHB, but Schulzy may prove all of us to be wrong.craig said:Schulz is asking for a gig in defence cos he knows it may be his only chance at getting a game.
Personally i dont rate Schulz as a defender one iota but thats my opinion and ive stated it the past with nothing having disproved my thoughts or made me change them Jay simply, is lazy, lacks intensity and concentration required, not effective enough at ground level and easily one of the most overated and underperforming players on the RFC list.
Polak Thursty and eventually Rance will be the tigers back 3 with Gourdis groomed for a possible Key Back (FB) role.
I agree with you Rex, need to get some desire into him as well. Can't just go through the motions, I think the "penny may have dropped". We've just got to get our kpps firing, ready for post Richo. His body is ready just got to get some confidence in him where ever he's playedRex said:Personally I think Schulzy might go alright next year. He has just had the scare of his short AFL life being put up for a trade. Not many delisted players got picked up this year, everyone is going for youth. His body is AFL ready its just his commitment that needs improvement. Wherever he plays be it back or forward I hope he goes alright. Jack & Cleve are a long way off being the next key possie players so I for one hope Sarge goes good.
Go Tiges
