Just interested in which online newpaper sites people prefer to read for footy news.

I used to like realfooty best, and their Martin Flanagan is my favourite journo, but I am sick and tired of their advertising grating on my nerves.  I have nothing against them profiting from ads but I have big issues about their style of advertising.  Pop-up ads, and the noises and music that come with them, are annoying in the extreme.

I've got to admit, although I thought it was a bit of a realfooty ripoff,  I go to Superfooty first if I want the latest news now.  It's updated more frequently and their advertising isn't so invasive of my personal space.  There was a time when i would have rated the Age journos over the H/S ones but they're all much of a muchness now.  If one says something is black the other will say it's white.

Two things about the Superfooty site I dislike are firstly the way they request their staff bag clubs (and in our instance spam PRE) to create controversy and secondly their online forum.  Why would they cheapen their brand with such immature rubbish.  One visit there was more than enough for me.

If the Age removed their pop-up ads they'd get my vote...not that I think they'd be too concerned about that.  ;D

I voted other just so I could read the results. I don't really know which I prefer of the 2 main ones but I do hate those pesky popups.

Me too. Realfooty is always playing catch-up, although I'd rate Realfooty's journalism a number of points higher than the Hun.
