I'm normally not a crier, but damn I feel like letting the tears run at the moment.

Seeing our youngsters exhibit the same weak qualities of our older players is so demoralising. If we play youngsters, and they make skill mistakes, are beaten physically at the contest, thats understandable. But when they don't run, chase, tackle and sheppard it really makes you question, what the hell have we got to look forward to?

Our older players don't have the heart or passion to make this club successful, but they'll be gone in a year or three. These youngsters are supposed to be the core of our next 10 years.

I honestly don't think I can handle another 5 years of passionless, heartless football.

Hang in ther jinxy - what choice do we have??

Darkest hour before the dawn - and all that cr@p. ;)

Hey Jinxy, I've put up with this rubbish for 27 years.

I am trying to convince my son to follow another team. Refuses to do so and cries when we lose.

Tempted to go out and buy the poor kid a Western Bulldogs jumper or a Eagles one to that effect. I cant stand seeing him getting so upset each and every week. I do feel for you.

Sounds a bit defeatist to me - kids can benefit from a good message too. Don't do it Nwonash - hang tough for your kids sake.

What makes this so frustrating, is I believe we're the best supporters a club could ever have.

Yeah we're frustrated. Yeah we demand immediate success. But we're here. And we show up week in week out for this club, after 20+ years of absolute crap. Other clubs would have gone the way of Fitzroy if they had the same results as Richmond. But we're still here, doing everything we can to support this club and bring some success back to Punt Road.

And all the players can do is play like they did today.

Just very disappointing.

PS. I want to exclude Foley and Richo as targets for this rant. They're the only players that play with passion and spirit every week. Seeing Richo huffing and puffing after the game, and then looking at the scoreboard gave me chills. Feel extremely sorry for Matthew. He, like us, would do anything for this club, and he's getting just as shafted as we are.

that is disappointing that you feel like buying a footscray jumper but I understand totally - how much can we all take..
