Thought I would try and head off some supporter rage which is often excessive on this forum. I get the feeling from our recent games that as a club we are going to have a difficult last five games. I think our:
- accumulation of serious injuries to good players
- our first and second year players being a little mentally/physically tired from their workload this year and now being forced to play on better players
- our general lack of available depth
- and the fact that opposition teams generally seem to be either playing for the finals or their futures means that they are playing mentally tougher.

Many fans will justifiably say that we should beat the teams under us going into the back-end of the season. I get the feeling however that we may not and that with a bit of bad luck we could even come out with no wins out of our last five games.

The point of this thread is that I don't want to see excessive and ignorant player and coach bagging from stunned ferals as a result. We are starting to look a little unstructured and lacking options and no amount of promoting the kids is going to change that - we have pretty much given everyone on our list a go and it is unlikely to help out win-loss. I am looking for acknowledgement that the team is starting to flag, and this combined with our lack of depth vs injuries will I believe expose us to losing to teams we beat in the first half of the draw.

I have had a look at the draw for our nearest three opponents under us on the ladder and it is tough. The sides under us will have great difficulty in passing us even if we win only one game in our last five. Our excerable percentage taken into account.

Good luck, Bt ;D

if we end up bottom 5, don't be suprised if some people seem happy.

if we lose the next 5 and still end up 9/10/11 I WILL go feral.

Unless all the kids got a game

I like most hate losin games, but if we drop say 4 of the last 5 an a few kids get a first game or a few more under there belt it may just be a blessing in disguise ,especially come late November

Wouldn't that be superb? Love to see it. We as a group seem to occasionaly get a little enraged by an unexpected loss - I was just trying to point out that there are signs which might make our losses a little less than unexpected.

Don't particularly want to be a doomsayer - just believe player and coach bashing is somewhat pointless in the present circs.

I think TW may go feral if we lose the last 5, his speech at the cocktail party was all about playing better in the 2nd half of the season.

I say go Feral if you want.

If your a member you pay for this Club to do its best and get results. I pay for on field performances of my football team.

This is a Sport yes, but it is also a business as well.

The administrators, coaches and players earn shitloads ( maybe not enough, maybe to much. But in the end they get paid well.

I for one think they are accountable for there performances.

We on here should say it how it is and not pussy foot around.

And IMO unfortunately at the moment that probably requires being feral. >:D

Dirty dog tiger, with quotes like that you will go feral, you have no idea of footy. You expected alot frm this group.

Well put BT. ;D

If we go back in history, Frawley started feeling the heat in the 2003 season, that's about in his 3rd year at the helm :rofl, anyway, TW will be in his third year next year, we'll wait and see what pans out then.

What I'm trying to say, if the intellectuals are confused :hihi, is that there hasn't been any bagging whatsoever on TW, things are pretty calm around here (for the time being) and TW is doing a 'gem' of a job.

As for the bagging the players, well, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do, say the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. The factors you have described are correct in regards to our slow decline in performance, and you can't help bad luck.

I would only point out that when a team gets vulnerable, lacks options and a little lacking in structure like we look like becoming then it is very easy for players to play "badly" as the team overall gets the living stuffing pounded out of it eg. the Sydney game.
