Fev faces sack

altonatiger said:
lol, yep they are all "role models" ;D :rofl

Actually, if you had stated this is what you would be prepared to do, then I'd have no issue with your view.

Ah no, I've said this simply because there is no point on this thread getting so off track from the real issue, and that is that Fev faces the sack. You have a simplistic view and I respect your right to be simplistic.

altonatiger said:
You are however, clearly insinuating in those earlier posts I quoted you think Fevola is guilty of what he is accused of, regardless of whether there is any evidence or not.

No, you think I'm insinuating. I'm not insinuating (a doing word) anything. Tell me where I've said Fev is guilty - I've said there seems to be little evidence one way or another and thus you claimed he is innocent then. It may well come down to his word against hers. In that void we will never know, innocence or otherwise. What I do know is there is limited (if any) instances of other Brisbane Lion players attending official or non-official football functions and thereafter being accused of what Fev is being accused of. He is not Robinson Crusoe in doing silly things, but he is in 'select company' for repeatedly bring himself into the spotlight for unsavoury reasons.

Your honour, I rest ;D

No, it may just mean there is insufficient evidence to present a case in law, which is the presumption of innocence, not innocence of itself

And Pebsy is correct as I understand it, with the bringing the game into disrepute rules. Cuz as I undertsand it was never charged with anything, but was still deregistered and this may still occur with Fev. I certainly don't need to be media guided on this - spot the idiot is game the whole family can play.

And Azza - like most truths, it will probably lay somewhere in between.

Wasn't Cousins arrested and charged then he wsa de-registered for bring the game into disrepute then the cops dropped the charges.

Correct. He had certain perscription drugs on him that the Police thought were obtained illegally. But it turned out he had a perscription for them.

Would Fev explaining that it was a dildo in a console, legitimately purchased at a nearby shop, get him off based on that precedent :-X ;D He has got form with those products I believe................

In my opinion history has proved that Brendan Fevola is a culpable moron off the field and a lazy primmadonna on the field.
With his god given talents he should be one of the greats. Instead he'll be remembered as one of the the great d!ckheads!
Even though I dislike Fevola a great deal, my utter disdain is for those who wish to judge him on this without a scintilla of evidence or an utterance under oath.
The press want him guilty and will judge him because it will be great copy and will sell papers. Brisbane are are looking for an out for their gross incompetence in paying sheep stations for a flawed product.
The rest of us should just wait and see what transpires and judge him on the facts.

I'm pretty sure the Dildo took out a restraining order against Fev after the incident.

Absolutely agree! My disdain goes back well before the recent incident.

As do many women attending hens nights .... Guess we'll accuse them too...

I may be simplistic, but at least I do know the meaning of basic english.....

Think you need to look up the meaning of the word "insinuating"...

You can lie all you like, frankly couldn't care less if you think people can't read between the lines, but it is abundantly clear what you think of the accusation.

Well said.

Yes, well pointed out guys. Excellent posting from Son of Francis.

Being a *smile* before doesn't automatically make you a *smile* again.

If he did it, throw him out of the game, but let's let the authorities with the actual evidence in front of them be the judge.

Personally, I think the AFL should introduce a "return to sender" or "Return to Point of sale for full-refund rule".

Then he could go back to Carlton and help them really implode.

It does not matter, if he did nothing he still made the news, that is the problem.

He also made the news for supposedly playing up with a team mates mrs earlier this year. Total BS someone made up as confirmed by J.Brown.

Surely it can't take this long to investigate accusations of a quick flash. Does anyone know if this is still under investigation? I hope there is a public statement if the allegations are unsubstantiated, as there would be if he was found guilty.

I suspect there would be some sort of encouragement to announce anything well after this weekend - cynical I know, but that almost seems to be the way these days.

Anyone see Fev on the Before the game show?

The fev spoke really well, doesn't look like a man under pressure. And seemed to have the playing groups support, the players seem united, the players seem to be ok with Vossy but the gap between the people running the club and the players seems huge. Not good.

only caught a bit of it, but he said the players were supportive of him, he had just had lunch with voss, the administrators should administrate and the players and coaches should be left alone to play and coach.

Scoop,
Fev's currently a man reunited with his kids. That's gotta lift his spirits.
And that must surely, and temporarily, gloss over some of the problems he has to return to.

Geez Scoop, you're easily impressed. I saw a very nervous bloke trying not to smile and to say only the things that his media advisors had told him to say.

I might be biased though, I just can't stand the tool.

Hope he is lunching happily with Voss, and the Blions are forced to keep him - would serve both of them right for the arrogance that landed them in this basket case in the first place.
